Awesome! Came exactly as described in full plastic wrap and undamaged. This is the exact American Heart Association PALS manual needed for the class. The best part is I ordered this on January 9th and the shipping estimate date was January 17th but I actually got the book on January 10th. That's fast!! Now if your trying to teach yourself PALS then this book is not the most user friendly but it contains the information needed and is required for the class and certification. I did better organizing the information myself.

This is my least favorite re-cert course necessary for my job. I liked the new format in the book and found the key point page tabs and algorithym card very helpful. I will say the lecture and hands-on megacode course through NCTI helped bring everything all together and recommend them if they have courses in your state.

Teaches you how to save babies and kidos from dying. Yeah it's that important. PALS is actually probably the best written Life support book I've read. I would say text follows a logical flow and format, It's easy to stay on track, and it really does help you save lives.

Not as expected. I sent this back as I had already bought ACLS, CPR, and PALS: Clinical Pocket Guide by Shirley A. Jones. The Jones book helped me pass my PALS course and I use it as a reference daily at work. This big PALS book by the AHA has information I will never use and is not portable.

Great reference for Respiratory Therapist. Very informative and update to date.
I do wish it came with a CD though like the Neonatal book.

Book could have better organized algorithms. Airway management details could also be better. However, everything else is as expected with these books. Being able to do the pre-test without a CD is great too. Long (and late) range for shipment date, but my book came about a week before anticipated date (about a week to 10 days after ordering), so that was great!

The manual provided information needed, but not in an easily learnable style. The book seemed to lack logical organization or format. It is, however, mandatory for the PALS course. I did much better when I began outlining and organizing the information myself.

A lot of redundant and un-useful information. They need to revise the next edition and make it much more concise, and include information about hospice and palliative care. Most of the information in this book is directed at post-resuscitative care in the intensive care unit, which is a waste of time for people who work outside of the ICU and need only to know about rescue care--not intensive care. Many clinicians who take this course work outside of the ICU and do not need to know how to practice intensive medicine.
