This book is the BEST pediatric reference book that I have seen. It is designed to be a book for use in the OR and it excels at this. The individual tables are indexed by weight and the exact dosages are listed. It is simply superb and all you need for the peds set-up.

My first rotation with pediatric anesthesia. Very nervous about dosing and having to calculate when under duress and/or in emergency situations. Getting this book was a Godsend... I had everything set up prior to each case and even impressed a few Attendings. Great to have - even as a back up. Some of the dosing was on the conservative side, but overall, all the pediatric anesthesiologists on staff believed that you "couldn't go wrong" with the calculated dosages.

This is one of the most practical, user-friendly resources available for CRNAs/SRNAs in the OR. It has been a life-saver for me as an SRNA when Pediatric cases were added to my room unexpectantly. It not only provides you with accurate, weight-based doses for the majority of medications you would give a pediatric patient, but it also gives you the calculated milliters for the drugs (check concentrations). Many CRNAs I have worked with have purchased this valuable resource after utilizing my copy. Add this to your OR bag...you will not be disappointed!
