This review is from: Pediatric Education For Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) (Paperback)
This book is a must-have for any EMT or Paramedic. It is an easy read but does require a baseline knowledge. It is best used to review during or after your EMT training.
Pros: this book is tailored for all levels. Each topic has a basic level target and then is followed by a clearly marked "Advanced Life Support" section making it easy to get what you want out of the book based on your interest and education. -Easy to read, not really a strict textbook format -Excellent points in exam and development stage based approach -2nd Ed. incorporates 2005 AHA guidelines -Step by step and photographed procedure index for all skills Cons: The only con I could find was a lack of some great points from the PALS textbook when compared. The book alone is filled with pearls of pediatric care so if you cant make a course to get your certification, this book alone will improve your care! Be safe |
