This is a presentation of over 800 different paediatric cases and more than 1100 imaging scans drawn from the medical records of a large university hospital. The cases cover all anatomic sites and all diseases seen in paediatric patients and are presented in clinicopathologic form, with accompanying diagnostic images. Each case begins with the chief complaint, history, and physical examination from head to foot, and then presents laboratory data, diagnostic images, and the diagnosis. The case study format offers instruction in interpreting imaging findings in the context of the patient history, physical examination, and laboratory results. Wherever available, the findings at operation, biopsy and necropsy are also included. All cases are cross-referenced by symptoms, signs and diagnosis.

Pediatric Images results from almost 30 years of careful, daily collection of illustrative cases of xray images, CT examinations, and early magnetic resonance images at University of Oregon Medical School, later called Oregon Health Sciences University. The images are accompanied by careful history from child and, when possible, from parent(s) or knowledgeable adult, all relevant physical findings biochemical data and, if biopsy or operation was done, gross and microscopic findings.
