5.0 out of 5 stars The best book on pediatric massage
Being a massage therapist working with children, this book is of extreme value to me. I've read many of the books published about pediatric massage and found this one the most resourceful for me. A good knowledge of the human body is a plus when reading this book, because it is a very in depth guide. I teach baby and child massage to parents and only recommend this book...

3.0 out of 5 stars It's okay...
If you're looking for a comprehensive manual on pediatric massage, this isn't it. Unfortunately, it's about the only book out there.
Basically it's a lot of effleurage, some different hydrotherapy options, a few modifications for children you can figure out on your own. and most of it is just common sense stuff that can be applied to adults as well as children...

Being a massage therapist working with children, this book is of extreme value to me. I've read many of the books published about pediatric massage and found this one the most resourceful for me. A good knowledge of the human body is a plus when reading this book, because it is a very in depth guide. I teach baby and child massage to parents and only recommend this book to parents who want to acquire more extensive knowledge, as for most parents I believe it's too much information. For other professionals working with children, it is a valuable addition to your personal library.

I would beware of any class using this as a textbook: sure you'll have a pretty piece of paper, but I doubt you will learn much. And you don't need the paper or book to practice pediatric massage.
