5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Text, April 10, 2008

This review is from: Pediatric Psychopharmacology: Fast Facts (Paperback)
This is an excellent book for clinicians who treat children and adolescents with psychotropic medications. It is relatively up-to-date and user friendly. It has many useful tables and offers specific dosing and safety monitoring guidelines. We chose this book for our child psychiatry fellows as the core text of their pediatric psychopharmacology course and they also thought that it was excellent. This is not, however, a book for parents or non-medical people.

This review is from: Pediatric Psychopharmacology: Fast Facts (Paperback)
The title is a misnomer. The book is a review of pediatric psychiatric disorders including medication. I agree that there are many useful practical tools and information, however, the book is poorly indexed and I find it difficult to find facts quickly. Drugs included are by by chemical name only and not by trade name. Hence you cannot look up a drug knowing only it's trade name. I was hoping for a pocket sized book on pediatric psychopharmacology.
