I have plantar fasciitis, and it hurts like the dickens. This bandage literally makes the pain go away. Plus, you can get them at wal-mart for over 2 dollars less.

I have used this item in the past (my podiatrist gave it to me); it really helped my feet tremendously. I had to buy another one after several years because the first one was wearing out.

I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon (A LOT) but I rarely do reviews. This little item that only cost a couple dollars has probably been one of the best things I've ever purchased and worthy of a five star review!!! Seriously! I developed a case of plantar fasciitis (arch pain) that I suffered from for four years. I tried different shoes, shoe inserts, orthotics, stretching, PT, and night splints. Nothing worked!! My doctor wanted to give me a cortisone injection, but I refused and was preparing myself for surgery. Then, a family member told me to give these a shot. I wore them for a couple weeks and the pain was GONE!!! I've been using these about 50% of the time for the past six months and I've been pain free for months. I only hope this review convinces someone that's suffering from the same NAGGING pain that I felt for sooooo long to give them a try. You might be as surprised as I was. Good Luck!

These are the best arch supports in existence. I tap dance twice a week and often suffer severe arch pain after a long practice. What makes these the best is that it slips right on your feet so you can also wear them without shoes, which is what I do at home when my feet are sore. Also they don't take up the room in your shoes like the arch inserts do. Arch inserts don't work for me because it makes my shoes too tight to wear and cause more pain. I've purchased several of these arch bandages and have a pair at home and keep another pair in my dance bag.

1 year ago I had so much pain in my right foot I was hobbling, had to stop exercising, couldn't get relief. My dr diagnosed plantar fasciitis and recommended shoes with good support and a night brace. I bought both, and they did help but I still battled pain on a daily basis. I found supporting my foot with an ace bandage helped but was bulky, then I found these and it made a huge difference! I put it on and had immediate relief. A year later I no longer wear the night brace but I do wear one of these on my right foot every day. I have two pair and swap them out for washing time. One is a bit stretched so I am back to buy a new pair. I wore these to Disney in May with my kids and walked all day and night, no pain at all. I also changed the style shoes I wear and will only buy shoes with good arch support. I can wear shoes without my arch bandage for a bit but my foot starts to ache after a few hours. For me it's a great solution and I am grateful for others reviews that led me to try these.

I had some plantar fasciitis pain that started to come back -- perhaps it was caused after a few days of long walks in the wrong shoes. As soon as I slipped these arch elastic bandages on, the pain was instantly relieved. It really was amazing! I can't yet comment on their long-term effects on my feet -- as they do squeeze and could cut off circulation in some people -- but the relief they are giving me NOW is incredible.

Update 3 months later: Still using these, and am about to order a second pair, as the first is stretching out a little. I use them when the pain is bad -- beginning of the day when I first get out of bed, or at the end of the day when my feet are aching. They provide instant (though temporary) relief. I wear them for an hour or two, then I notice my feet starting to feel tingly so I take them off and the feet then feel fine. So it must work by cutting off some of the blood flow -- I wouldn't wear them all day.

I've had plantar fasciitis for about 7 years now. I get more arch pain than heel pain usually. These serve their purpose but do not hold up well over time. They came one bandage per package, so I would have to buy two each time, because as they say, even if you have issues in only one foot, you should treat both to prevent overstressing the good foot. Although these are a one-size-fits-all, they aren't exactly sized right. One bandage would be tighter than the other. The loose one would fall and I would have to constantly readjust during the day. One day I was wearing crocs, and the bandage slipped completely off my foot. The slipping/mis-sizing causes other issues besides annoyance - if you don't have a chance to adjust, then you'll start favoring the side that needs to be adjusted, causing more stress on the other foot. Besides the sizing issue, these are just elastic and will wear out - the more you wear them, the faster they go. The negatives aside, these have served their purpose for me, but I'm tired of having to replace them every few months and worrying about whether or not I'd pick up two packages that were made the same. I'm looking for a better option at this point.

i prefer wearing these instead of wearing my custom insoles. they are comfortable. i wear them under my socks because i feel that if i wear them over that they might strech out. i also wash them with my other laundry and it seems to be just fine.
