Separately I bought two pairs of these bunion relievers. I'm in my uniform shoes 9 hours a day, tried some other bunion relievers, unfortunately they were too small and too soft. These Pedix helpers work great for me.

Will solve foot pain due to bunnions. I wear these during sleep protected in place with a sock and the pain in my feet have disappeared.

stiff and uncomfortable,

These are made out of a fairly hard material that hurts my toes and feet when worn. I am wearing them for short periods at a time in the hope they will soften up over time. Then they will be very effective. -- Update a month later shows that this didn't work, because the stiff edges still cut into my toes. Maybe I should put them in the dishwasher for a month, and see if that softens them up. I will probably have to discard them, and change my rating to one star.

I bought these in addition to the gel ones. They are a size Medium (fits most). I received the gel type ones first (also a size medium) so I started wearing those. Once I received these, I tried them out. Immediately I knew I liked the gel ones better. The flanges on these seem a little oversized. I suppose you could trim them a bit with a pair of scissors but I haven't tried that yet. They seem a little wider than the gel ones but when I put them on with shoes they weren't as comfortable. They might work for some people but for now I'm sticking with the gel ones. If I trim these ones down, I will leave an update.

These bunion relievers are stiff and they rub against my skin when worn. I prefer the soft gel type toe separators.

These toe spacers were smaller than I expected, but they are still slightly wider than those viscose gel ones. Occasionally, I get some friction from the plastic edges, but it's not too much of a problem.

wide spacing for bunions,

I've tried a lot of toe separators. These are the biggest, and stay in place reasonably well. It's hard to wear them all day but are fine for say, 3-6 hours. They are easy to clean.
I much prefer the foam separators Amazon sells. They are also easy to clean with a liquid soap and they dry overnight. Consider doubling up on the foam ones if you need the wide spacing. All that said, I haven't noticed any great improvement in bunion pain after a long walk or hiking. I have resorted to buying extra-wide shoes at a local "Wide Shoes Only" store and had them custom stretched with bumps where my bunions meet the shoes.

These are much too stiff for my toes. These hurt my feet when I wear them. I like the soft, clear ones much better.

It is worth noting that these come in at least two sizes. The size sold here is medium, though it doesn't say so anywhere in the listing, unless they've revised it since this writing. I'm a male who wears size 9.5 or 10 shoes, and these were too small for me. Top to bottom they were so small that I couldn't fit the flanges over and under my toes. The front of the package says, "medium - fits most." But the back states that medium is intended for men up through size 9.
I returned mine and bought the large ones from an Amazon Seller here on the site that specifies size large. They were a little more expensive, but I'm satisfied with the product; I wear mine most days with shoes and boots and feel little discomfort and, obviously, they are firmer than the gel type, which I appreciate. I'd give the product itself a five star rating, but I feel the size issue is important enough that I should draw attention to it. Almost three weeks after returning the medium pair to Amazon, and telling them their inadequate description was the reason, they still haven't revised the listing. I will change my rating when Amazon revises the description. |
