This is a gorgeous corkscrew. Solid, heavy and very easy to operate, it is a pleasure to use. This corkscrew uses the tried and true method of extracting the cork from the bottle with a long, open screw. Simply place the corkscrew on top of the bottle (after removing the capsule, or plastic covering) and turn the handle. The cork will pop out with ease, and the long screw insures that even the driest corks don't break off in the bottle.I'm a fan of the simple and inexpensive Screwpull, but this model, which uses the same design model, is a real beauty and deserves to be left out where your guests can comment on it. |
