If you are in the market for a grater such as this, then you pare probably deciding between this model, and a Zyliss model. My mom has the Zyliss, and I recently purchased this one. The Pedrini is larger than the Zyliss. Which may or may not be a problem for you. I have small hands for a guy, and they are both comfortable to use. Since this one is larger than the Zyliss, it also handles more food (cheese, chocolate, etc...) to be placed in the feed section. With the Zyliss, you tend to have to cut parmesean or other foods into 1" or smaller chunks. The Pedrini is much easier to use in this regard. They both shred equally as well, so there aren't any complaints there. If I were to make one complaint about this product, it would be that the handle on mine does not open outwards completly. It only opens to a 90 degree angle or so. Which could make it harder to clean for some people I suppose. It hasn't made it harder for me to clean, but I thought I would mention it.

Grate without losing your fingers.,
This review is from: Pedrini Pleasure Rotary Grater (Kitchen)
I love this rotary grater - especially for cheese. The big hole fitting works well on Mozzerella and Cheddar /Monterey Jack cheeses and the smaller hole graters work really well on harder cheeses such as Gran Padano, Gruyere or Parmeggano Reggiano (Parmesan). So if you only want a cheese sandwich, or if you want to cook Pizza or Pasta or even a Swiss Fondue, you will halve the effort by using this grater. You do have to cut the cheese into cubes before you grate it, and if you buy cheese in large pieces this can be a pain. However, for really hard things like whole nutmegs or brazil nuts, it is difficult to get a grip with the handle. For those you tend to go back to the flat grater for small amounts or to a food processor if you need volume. By the way, Brazil nuts make a great stuffing for mushrooms! As to this grater - it cleans well in a dish washer, but is less easy to wash out by hand. You need a bottle brush to clean the inner side of the drum. I think this is the thing that puts most people off rotary graters. But if you have a dish washer you will be OK.

I love it! I love shredded cheese but I've always hated shredding it. This grater works wonderfully, is small enough to store in a drawer & is easy to clean. And best of all, it's not overpriced!
