I admit to having been skeptical about the efficacy of this particular design. It seemed, at first, to be too delicate for vigorous shaking. But after using it I've been converted. Even COCKTAIL-esque stunt shaking is made possible by the firm vacuum design. Enclosing the drink wholly in stainless steel really makes drinks super cold, super quick. Best of all, you don't have to remove the lid to get to your drink; just pop the top and pour. This neatly saves you the bother of buying a bar strainer. All in all, it's a cost-effective start for would-be home bartenders.

This neat little modular stainless steel unit is perfect for making great cocktails. You can use the lid as a measure. You flip off the strainer top and fill the jug with ice and your favourite cocktail ingredients. Put the strainer lid and the top back on and shake rattle and roll. Seconds later the drink is ice cold.

If you are making frothy drinks they bubble up really quickly to a fine soft foam.

Off with the lid and the strainer keeps ice and other unwanted items in the jug. Only the drink goes into your glass.

Easy to clean, neat to store, dishwasher safe, and it looks totally cool.

This is a great shaker!! I have been searching around and read reviews on a lot of shakers and I am so glad that I've decided to buy Pedrini's Stainless Steel Shaker!

My biggest concern was that the top and cap would get competely stuck or it would cause leakage when shaken, but like other reviewers, I had none of these problems at all with this particular shaker! It is very well designed and durable. The rim on the lid/strainer makes it easy to pull it off. Just push your thumb and index fingers against the ridge, twist... and voila the top is off! No need to pry the top off with a knife like other shakers!

I think they could make the shaker even more better if the cap was also a 1 oz jigger. An ounce is about 30 ml but the cap holds only 25 ml. This is kind of a hassle since most recipes call for even ounces. This is just a minor gripe though. I guess you could always invest in a separate jigger. Other than this, everything else about the shaker is great!

I would highly recommend it to others who are looking for an affordable and functional shaker.

I had browsed the 'net looking for shakers that weren't too expensive, but looked like good quality. I happened upon this one, and I am very happy that I did. I work 5 days a week (so I definitely enjoy a drink), but also tend bar part time. I like the capacity of this, and the built in strainer. The parts seperate easy enough after shaking. Easy clean up, too. I bought 3 of them, so I could use them at home, and @ the bartending gig.
SenatorLou also loves his. I gave one as a gift, and he cant get enough.

This is a nicely made shaker that feels good in the hand and works as advertised. It is a great deal as well.

This shaker has got to be the best I ever used.

This has been the ideal shaker. It puts together easily and I have never had it leak once - perfect seal every time. It's weight and thickness are perfect for shaking, and you know when you're done by when it gets too cold to hold - the way it's supposed to. I can't imagine a better shaker out there unless there's a cheaper one that works as well. You'll never need another one if you buy this.

This, my friends, is simply the perfect cocktail shaker. Works great -- and at a great price. Performs as well as shakers at double the cost. Durable, too. (Dropped a few times on a hard tile floor -- no dings!) Tiki drinks, martinis, swanky cocktails, you name it. Easy to buy, easy to use, easy to clean, easy to love. Simplicity meets function. G'head ... you know you want it.

I like the size of this tool, and I've only had two problems with it. Once it popped open, once it became stuck shut. A quick douse of hot water on the lid fixed that. Otherwise, it works well (we use it to make salad dressing), and we are quite pleased.

This is one of the best shakers I've ever purchased. Its highly durable, attractive and holds quite a bit of liquid. It has a nice strainer inside the lid and breaks down into three pieces which makes it dishwasher friendly. Buy this shaker and make sure to have a couple drinks for me too!
