5.0 out of 5 stars Best corkscrew anywhere!
I know there are several ways to open a bottle of wine, but the waiter's corkscrew will always be the best and most reliable method. This corkscrew is the best one I have ever found. Excellent quality, very user friendly, and really well priced!

1.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't even give it away.
This product was purchased for work. I'm a server and do Wine Service at least ten times a night. Everytime I atempted to use this, it split the cork, the screw part is very thick. The handle is uncomfortable in my hand and it is the WORST wine key I have ever used. I tried giving it to someone after I got another from a Wine Rep and no one would even TAKE it. DO NOT...

5.0 out of 5 stars In the declining days of cork,, August 3, 2007
This review is from: Pedrini Wine & Bar Pocket Waiter's Corkscrew Soft Grip (Kitchen)
Even as better ways of closing a wine bottle rise to
the top of the bottle, a wine-lover still needs to
pull an occasional cork.
This rubber cushioned, widely used corkscrew is the
easiest, most convenient way to do it. Its grip is
comfortable, the screw penetrates cork easily and
the all-important two-step lever allows almost
anyone to muscle the cork out of the neck. It also
slips easily into a pocket and is cheap and light.

One evidence of this device's popularity is that it
is frequently chosen to be imprinted with a winery
name and given away as a premium in the wine trade.

5.0 out of 5 stars Came here just for this review, October 29, 2010
This review is from: Pedrini Wine & Bar Pocket Waiter's Corkscrew Soft Grip (Kitchen)
My spouse and I drink a bottle of wine with dinner most every night, and have gone through several corkscrews. I never realized there was much of a difference between them until on vacation a couple of years ago we had a bottle but no opener, and bought this one out of necessity. We have used it exclusively ever since. It is without a doubt the sturdiest, most reliable opener out there. Works like a charm every time. After opening probably the 200th bottle or so with it tonight without flaw, I felt compelled to come on to Amazon just to give it a review. A must have for any wine lover!

5.0 out of 5 stars Well-Designed and Made Lever-Type Corkscrew, October 13, 2008

While my wife and I use a Screwpull pocket model (Screwpull Pocket Model Corkscrew, Black) most of the time, there are bottles that are easier to open with a lever-type corkscrew, so we keep one of these handy. The Pedrini is nicely designed. The lever is the right length, holds the lip of the bottle, and it's well-made. In fact, we like Pedrini's bar ware generally. We even use their shot glasses for our espresso machine.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great tool for a reasonable price, November 19, 2008
This review is from: Pedrini Wine & Bar Pocket Waiter's Corkscrew Soft Grip (Kitchen)
This little gem provided an easy experience in opening wine bottles. I stayed clear of other openers, which always seemed to make the task at hand difficult. This opener made the job a pleasure with no resistance at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best corkscrew I've seen in 16 years in the biz, January 15, 2011

I've been given countless corkscrews by sales reps over the years and this is by far the best. As others have noted, the rubber grip is great both for its nonslip properties as well as its substantial size. Even with my very small hands I have found this extremely helpful when opening wines at table. Also, the blade is serrated and again, of a sufficiently substantial size, making it great for cutting through some rather thick foils. I've never had one of these fail or rust after years of heavy use (they do, however, disappear).

I'll be brief. I've tried several different types of wine bottle openers including the ubiquitous arms-on-the-side-raising as you screw it variety and this one is far and away the easiest and quickest to use.

A little bigger than many similar corkscrews, easier to remove cork. More expensive than average, but still a good value.

Quite simply, you'll never need another corkscrew. This works better than the $100 laguioles I used as a waiter in 5 star restaurants. Perfect tool at a fantastic price.
