5.0 out of 5 stars The simplest and most effective bottle opener
The corkpuller is definitely the simplest and most effective bottle opener, definitely beats any cork skrew. No hard work involved. The Pedrini offers a reliable product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor Quality, Poor Customer Service!
ordered NEW from Amazon vendor - both packages are plastic sealed all the way around. They were both cut open at the bottom. Tried both of them, they got in about half way and they were no longer stable at the base where the prongs are assembled. Best guess is they were a return item! I know this is a great tool - but a poor product and Amazon sent me opened packages.

Prongs are too thick for begginers. If this is the first time for you using this type of cork remover, don't expect to master it right away. You'll be drinking wine with floating corks for a while, before you can pull off this tricky removal method. You can find intructional videos all over the net, but you'll soon find out that it is not as easy as it seems. The trick is to do a back and forth motion until the prongs are in all the way, then simply twist and pull.

I first saw a two prong wine opener in the hands of a wine-connoisseur and decided i had to have one.
The Pedrini two prong corkpuller serves its aesthetic purpose well, it's cheap, but it bends out of shape after a good bit of use. I would say for practicality, any plunger/screw wine opener works faster and more consistently (sometimes the two prong pushes the cork in if you're not careful or tipsy).
I would recommend this to anyone who feels like they can look cool for a whole 5 minutes as they wiggle this thing in around the cork. It's also slightly more satisfying getting a cork out with this thing if you're into complicating easy tasks.

1.0 out of 5 stars disappointed, May 7, 2007

I had a similar product that worked great, and wanted another like it, however with this one it appears the prongs are too thick and it tears up the cork. It's worthless.

Used this a couple of times. Not quite as good as previous ones I've had like this. But still ok.

No complaints, awesome. Couldn't find an ah so opener at any liquor store, williams sonoma or other kitchen store. Glad I was able to get one on Amazon.

I bought this corkpuller 2 months ago and have used it 2-3 times. I like these better than normal corkscrews because they are smaller and don't destroy the cork as much. It shipped as fast as my other items, and was reasonably priced.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bottle shattered, trip to ER, July 1, 2011
This review is from: Pedrini Wine & Bar Two Prong Corkpuller with Sheath (Kitchen)
After using this style opener for several years I just broke a bottle in my hands. Yesterday, while pulling an unusually stiff cork out, the bottle neck shattered sending me to the local emergency room for stitches. This design puts a lot of stress on the bottle neck when the tangs are pressed in. Combine that with twisting and pulling and i believe there is a high risk of failure.

You may have better luck than I, but I wanted to warn others. I am typing this with one hand because of the stitches. No fun!
