5.0 out of 5 stars The only thing that worked for my three year old
To Pee or Not to Pee is an extremely fun and motivating potty training book. Potty training was going nowhere until I bought the book for my son. His motivation increased tremendously. Even better, he's finally potty trained.

Parents, the text stays fresh even with many readings. This book really works.

This is a great supplement to another potty book. It is low-key and humourous and reminds parents to let their child set the pace and experiment. However, we had to skip over some of the humourous experimenting that the boy in the book tries; my son was inspired and starting throwing toys in the potty. 5.0 out of 5 stars Clever and calm approach, November 8, 2000

This review is from: To Pee or Not to Pee (Hardcover)
Our family enjoyed To Pee or Not To Pee not only for it's clever story and the lovable little boy, Will, but also for it's gentle approach to toilet training. We have two boys who successfully found their way from diapers to undies without a lot of stress. Kids are smart and this book emphasizes that. This book was fun and my guys loved the stickers and still like to read it!

5.0 out of 5 stars A funny potty training book, January 12, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: To Pee or Not to Pee (Hardcover)
Finally there's a new potty training book available! I had been disappointed with previous books on this subject (of which there are only a handful). "To Pee or Not to Pee" gives kids a light, funny tale about a boy who's just not interested in using his toilet. My son loved the stickers and tattoos in the back, too.

5.0 out of 5 stars That IS the question!, December 19, 1998

This is a wonderful book. As the mother of a 2-year-old, I found it delightful, and so did my daughter. She used to have a "terror" of toilets. Now she is starting to potty train, and I give credit to this book. She loves it, and always begs me to "Read it, Mama."

Stickers and tatoos (removable, or course! :-) offer extra incentive. The message isn't at all pushy, either.

This is a great supplement to another potty book. It is low-key and humourous and reminds parents to let their child set the pace and experiment. However, we had to skip over some of the humourous experimenting that the boy in the book tries; my son was inspired and starting throwing toys in the potty. In addition, when the boy Will finally decides to go pee, the picture and words don't match (the words say he is pulling down his pajamas, but the picture shows jeans and a t-shirt). Normally not a big deal, but during potty-training, our kids are scouting for details. There are no details about potty-training in this book-- ie: washing hands, pants up and down, etc. Overall, a great book; my son loves it and "reads" it on his own and brings it to me several times a day. Incidentally, the stickers and tattoos in the back were a great motivator.

5.0 out of 5 stars Valuable potty-training aid, November 7, 2000

I loved To Pee or not To Pee and so did my child! What a great way to help your child feel that he/she is in control of answering the question "To Pee or not To Pee?" This book has guided my family through two potty trainings and has been extremely effective and fun.

The stickers and bright illustrations were an added plus.

5.0 out of 5 stars A darling book for young ones, January 15, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: To Pee or Not to Pee (Hardcover)
Even though I don't have children, I have given this book to several parents with small children. It seems to be a hit. The parents find the story delightful and the children love the stickers and tattoos. This book makes a rather uncomfortable subject fun and humorous. I highly recommend this one!

1.0 out of 5 stars Avoidance training for tots, September 28, 2000
This review is from: To Pee or Not to Pee (Hardcover)
I was very disappointed in this book -- compared to a number ofmore positive potty-training books, this one seemed to focus way toomuch on NOT going potty. It also contains messages about trainingpotties being for "pip squeaks." Overall, I found this bookmore harmful than helpful in our potty training efforts.

This is a cute, humorous book for the under-three crowd. Stickers and tattoos are included too--a nice addition.

5.0 out of 5 stars No Pressure Here, February 15, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: To Pee or Not to Pee (Hardcover)
This low-key humorous book takes the pressure off potty training, with the ultimate outcome that a child -- boy or girl -- will be "potty trained" when he or she decides it's time.
My son liked the stickers and the refrain "to pee or not to pee ..."
