OPEN HOUSE. Today they're redecorating the Playhouse and Pee-Wee tricks his pals, including Cowboy Curtis (Lawrence Fishburne), Richardo (Vic Trevino) and Miss Yvonne (Lynne Stewart), into doing all his chores by pretending that work is fun--well, it is, isn't it? The gang meets some new friends while renovating the "house" (the secret word). Reba the Mail Lady (S. Epatha Merkerson) arrives in time to deliver Clocky--while the Playhouse gang uncovers Floory and meets Mrs. Rene (Suzanne Kent) for the first time! PEE-WEE CATCHES A COLD. Today the secret word is "out"--but poor Pee-wee is stuck in when he overdoes it and comes down with a cold! Avant Guarde Childrens' television with "secret" adult content for the rest of us. Paul Reubens manchild charactor is given full reign in the best kids show ever. It pays tribute to 50's and 60's TV and yet stays modern with music by Devo, Residents, Danny Elfman, & Todd Rundgren. Leasons are learned in a fun way. Look for Cowboy Curtis giving Pee-Wee tips on dating, Reba the Mail lady playing Dr. with Pee-Wee, Slam dance lessons and more fun. If you have not seen it since you were a kid. See what you missed the first time around. Watch for NEW Pee-Wee movies. I love you Pee-Wee!

Pee Wee's playhouse is inspirational and incredibly imaginitive. My 3 and 5 year olds love it! After their Barney, Little Bear, Thomas the Tank, etc., they don't know quite what to think of Pee Wee, but they keep asking for it since they first saw it several weeks ago. I love Pee Wee's uncoventional humor and all around wackiness! I hope it inspires humor and a different way of looking at things in my children.

I got these tapes for my 3 year old and he loves them... we can watch them together... what a great show... it should never have been canceled
