I know before buying this that it was not an x-pole but figured it would allow me to do some spins. NOPE, dont waste your money on this un-usable pole. My Ceiling had black stuff on it from the pole, save your money and buy an x-pole

I was given this as a valentines day present and I was so excited. Now I am extremely frustrated because I wanted to learn to do inversions, spins, and such. NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN ON THIS POLE. Even though I bolted it to the ceiling the thing won't stay in place and you can only move on it in one direction without a popping noise that makes it sound as if it is about to collapse. Mind you I am only 110 pounds of girl (okay 115 but whatever). This pole is more of an expensive prop than a fitness tool. Would not buy again.

My friend had this set up in her living room. She is on a bad day 120lbs. We assembled it and it was fine for dancing around the bottom. Do NOT SPIN! DO NOT INVERT! Do not do ANYTHING that requires you to actually use the pole for stability. It snapped the first spin she did on it. If you want a good pole go with the X Pole Series. They are a little more expensive but you wont have to worry about hurting yourself. They are sturdy and you'll pretty much be able to do whatever on them. The dvd that comes with it is nothing you cant learn on youtube.

My husband weighs almost 200 pounds and even he was able to get on this pole and spin without a problem. Evidently the other reviewers did not have the pole put together the correct way. It is a little tricky but if you follow the directions that comes with it, you should be fine. I've had this pole for over a year and love it! There is a very precise way to put it together and like I said, if it's not done correctly you will have problems.
