A delightful viewing experience to share with preschoolers, fostering curiosity and an interest in science,

This review is from: Peep and the Big Wide World: Peep's New Friends (DVD)
Narrated by the award-winning actress Joan Cusack, the "Peep and the Big Wide World" series is an educational children's television series originally broadcast on Discovery Kids and TLC. In the DVD Peep's New Friends, Peep, Chirp, and Quack explore the wide world of animals, meeting an eager beaver, three shy bunnies, a frisky cat, a colorful butterfly, and Hoot the Owl. Then young viewers follow real kids as they play in and explore the "big wide world", searching for friendly cats, and building beaver dams of their very own. The episodes in Peep's New Friends are "Peep's New Friend", "Peep in Rabbitland", "Under Duck", "Quack's Stuck Stick", "That's a Cat", and "Birds of a Feather". A delightful viewing experience to share with preschoolers, fostering curiosity and an interest in science. Extra features include downloadable "anywhere science activities" and coloring pages, as well as tips for encouraging kids to take an interest in science. 60 minutes, color, English/Spanish audio tracks.

My daughter LOVES the Peep and the Big Wide World shows and it is a great way to learn science. If you have a pre-schooler they will really like the adventures that Peep, Quack and Chirp have and for parents they show has humor and is actually interesting!

We first discovered Peep while visiting The Discovery Channel Store. I haven't watched TLC in the mornings because I thought all they had on was A Baby Story, but I was thrilled to learn about Peep. My 2 year old daughter LOVES Peep, or "The Bird Show" as she calls it. I like the fact they sneak in some science. The characters are adorable and funny, and as another reviewer said, there is even some humor in there for the parents. I love all the peep dvds I have seen.
