Mmm...I'm wet now,
By Kat, Fitness Trainer (New York) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Peep Show: Tales of Voyeurs and Exhibitionists (Paperback)
Wow, this book got me all hot and bothered. I usually watch my porn, because whenever I try to READ porn, it's predictable and mundane. I was drawn to Peep Show because a) I am both an exhibitionist and a voyuer, and b) it's mostly written by women. I'm a woman myself, so the book made it easy to mentally step into the authors' shoes and enjoy the erotic ride myself.
Each Peep Show story is creative and...well, if they're not real, the authors sure fooled me. My two favorite tales take you on vacation. One to Berlin, where a woman takes her husband to a glass hotel. The outside wall is one huge window, allowing crowds of passerby watch your every move. The married couple check into their room, and promptly put on a heated, live performance, ending with the husband exploding all over the glass, for everyone to see. My second favorite story takes you to Amsterdam's red light district, where hookers are fully on display. The author, a woman, gets so turned on by one hooker that she hires her and has an incredible time. Peep Show is HOT. I only suggest that you read it in a place where you can "get off" easily. I started reading it while on a bus. I got very wet and excited, but I wasn't about to touch myself with an old lady next to me. lol

Let's be honest... we ALL love to watch. It can be a car accident, a juggling street performer, a nasty hit in a football game, some eighty pound model eating it on the runway, and especially sex. There's a reason porn is so prevalent on the internet. People doing all sorts of crazy sexy things that we would NEVER indulge in. Right? (right)? We're either too scared to try it or don't have the right partner to try it, but we will watch someone else try it. Especially if that person is doing the ONE thing we wish we could do: have crazy-off-the-wall-butt-naked-sweat-like-a-snowcone-in-South Carolina-August-heat sex!!
Everyone loves to watch and everyone DOES watch. This sexy collection tells both sides of the story. I loved this collection because the sex was everywhere and so were the opportunities to watch. I mean really, is there anything that gets our blood pumping faster than watching someone get the ultimate pleasure? No, not really. `Peep Show' takes us into the world of both people who love to see and people who love to be seen. This is a very, very sexual collection and will arouse your emotions and your physical self. It's not unusual to reread your favorite stories in a collection, but is it normal to memorize them? :-) Ah well... either way Rachel does another superb job of picking the perfect stories to go in this sultry, red hot, voyeuristic collection. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Here are my Top 5: Showtime by Susan St. Aubin Busted by Kissa Starling Indecent by Lolita Lopez I've Only Got Eyes for You by Rachel Kramer Bussell Missing Michael by M. March

So many incredible approaches to the theme!,
This review is from: Peep Show: Tales of Voyeurs and Exhibitionists (Paperback)
The magnificent storytellers in this delicious collection, edited by the gifted Rachel Kramer Bussel, found so many ways to excite and delight me--approaching the voyeurism/exhibitionism theme in all sorts of incredible ways. Cheyenne Blue, Elizabeth Coldwell, Andrea Dale, and Craig J. Sorensen are a few of the justly celebrated names you'll see in the table of contents.
In "Clean and Pretty," Donna George Storey guided my gaze through complex layers of observation, passion, artifice, and authenticity. Malcolm Ross's "Sleeping Beauty" charmed and aroused me with its gentle and witty portrait of a tender fetish, while L. A. Mistral's "Theory of Orchids" surprised me at every turn with its dreamlike, delirious action and elegantly quirky style. Lolita Lopez, author of "Indecent," connected with this reader from the get-go by presenting a math major who likes to dress up as the Mad Hatter and expose herself; and Sommer Marsden's "Satisfaction Guaranteed" was a concentrated dose of erotic dynamite. Geneva King's "Rosse Buurt" tingled with wistful sweetness and delicate emotion, and "Calendar Girl," by Angela Caperton, was a hot, heartwarming, and unforgettably original adventure. As you can see, there's so much here to savor!

Look at me, look at me!,

I am more of a voyeur than an exhibitionist. As a professional photographer, that's par for the course. I wasn't expecting to be so turned on by reading Rachel Kramer Bussel's *Peep Show,* but I was. Very aroused. It's spicy-hot and filled with all sorts of uninhibited tales of looking and being looked at. Oodles of sexy stories by some masters in the field (Donna George Storey, Craig J. Sorensen) and some authors I'd not yet become familiar with (Angels Caperton, Lolita Lopez).
Lopez's "Indecent" was a revelation -- it combined all the elements necessary to get ya going. Also very hot, Andrea Dale's "Now You See Her," and M. March's sweet tale "Missing Michael." The book's got a beautiful glossy cover (thanks to Cleis Press) and a blurb from one of my favorite authors, Audacia Ray. If it's good enough for her, it's good enough for me. And will be for you, too.

This naughty collection of stories is a sexy romp of voyeuristic and exhibitionist fun. Well written, each story teases and builds to a very satisfactory end. The taste of the forbidden, sweet flash of flesh and the boldness of deliberate exposure is guaranteed to amuse, tempt and arouse the reader.

A great balance of sexy and edgy,
This review is from: Peep Show: Tales of Voyeurs and Exhibitionists (Paperback)
Peep Show is a great read for skeptics and true thrill seekers, combining cheeky prose with the right dose of sensuality (without being sleazy). From stripteases to ogling complete strangers, each erotic tale provides readers with just enough to satisfy, yet hungry to try out what has been written for our viewing pleasure. Each chapter beguiles, tickling the senses in such a way that we can deem it "irresistible reading".
So next time you're out, don't judge the couple exhibiting extreme PDA. They're onto something.

Do not read alone - B.O.B. or significant other required!,

I absolutely loved Clean and Pretty by Donna George Storey. I have read this story at least 3 times and one of those was out loud to my fiance. I'm not sure that he was as wowed as I was, but I don't think he has the same 'fantasies' that I have in this realm. I really enjoyed Jenny in this story, you could literally pull her tension and desire right off the pages and take them on yourself. You wanted what she wanted, you needed what she needed, and you were very satisfied when she finally gets what she deserves. 'People in Glass Hotels by Jennifer Peters....**sigh**. Though short in pages, it was NOT short in hottness and character. I wanted to be with her and her husband in Berlin to watch as her fantasy finally came to fruition. I would have loved to trade places with them as well. I will say that I wish I had just a little bit more insight into her husband's mind. Felix seemed like a guy that I would like to get to know a little better and I would have loved if Ms. Peters would have given me more. (But you know me, I want it ALL!) We are all dirty minded folks if we allow ourselves to admit it, so when I read Busted by Kissa Starling I saw so much of what I would LOVE to do right there in front of me. You could tell that Ms. Starling has her finger on the pulse of people's wants, desires, and fantasies. Lydia and Andy instantly became people that I wanted to know, people that I wanted to hang out with on a regular basis! I enjoyed feeling every touch, every pulse, and snubbing my nose at the prudes. Wonderful read all around.

Wanna Watch?,
By
This review is from: Peep Show: Tales of Voyeurs and Exhibitionists (Paperback)
For as long as I can remember, I've always been interested in voyeurism. Trying to sneak a peak at couples making out in the movie theaters to listening to my neighbors having sex next door (ok, that's not exactly peeping). It's fun to watch from a distance- cheap thrills, and a little bit of danger in getting caught. My penchant for exhibitionism came later and I did find quite a thrill in the thought of being watched.
Peep Show is yet another fantastic anthology edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel all on the topic of watching or being watched. My favorite story was about a man who's fetish was watching his wife sleep at night. It was sexy and romantic at the same time. Rachel always manages to find a wide range of stories on each topic of her books, they are always fun and sexy to read and this is no exception!!

I'm a Watcher,

This review is from: Peep Show: Tales of Voyeurs and Exhibitionists (Paperback)
Another tantalizing compilation from Rachel Kramer Bussel featuring voyeurs and exhibitionists of all stripes, from old fashioned peeking to the more high tech webcam voyeur. Lolita Lopez, Cheyenne Blue, and Jennifer Peters round out the collections of authors established and newly published. For the most part, the compilation stays true to the essence of voyeurism and exhibitionism, but some of the stories take loose skirting looks at the topic and seem to be out of place. However, each story reads strongly.
Great read, very arousing.

Perfect balance,
This review is from: Peep Show: Tales of Voyeurs and Exhibitionists (Paperback)
This book gives an excellent balance between watching and watched, participating and denying, and yearning and payoff. There's some gay, mostly straight, all of them delicious in some way or another. The ghost story (gay males) was unexpectedly touching and quite hot, and the traveling couple in the glass hotel was fantastic. Like most anthologies, you may find a story or two that's not to your liking, but I think this book has many more winners than losers. Highly recommended.
