Go to [ ... ] to use their MOUNTFINDER to make sure your TV will work first!!! I bought this mount for a Sony KDL-60NX810 LCD TV which weights about 100 lbs. I read through the directions, checked for all bolts &brackets, and everything was shipped as indicated. There is no "pattern" for cutting a hole in the sheetrock but the measurements they give you are spot on. Make sure to have a stud finder (self explainitory) and a level so your cuts are straight. You can configure the single swing arm to be on the left or right side of the unit. I chose the opposite side away from my audio components so I can view the components and back of the TV at the same time. Six bolts mount the main unit with the swing arm to the 2x4 studs, 3 bolts each side, easy to do! A secondary cover snaps over the main unit hiding the bolts and giving the unit a finished look. However, there are some gaps (the main box is not total welded in the corners) in the main unit so you may want to seal the gaps to be energy efficent. The gloss black paint finished is not perfect (debris in the paint) but it is hidden behind the TV anyways. The paint also make the swing arm bolts difficult to start threading so be careful not to strip them out. If you plan on moving this unit frequently to view your TV, I would consider a dual arm unit. However, if like me you want a near flush unit with accessability, an outlet for your 110VAC electrical, and a through-hole for all your cables, this is the unit for you. Figure a couple of hours, be thorough and take your time. My neighbor just saw mine and has ordered one for himself! Very heavy duty and best yet.....Made in the USA!!!

actually this model that we bought had the wrong parts that it would not work with panasonic 58" plasma as they claimed. These were the long bracket pieces that supposed to attach to TV,They were too short.We think we can make it work because we have room to manuever(it was opened wall,just studs for installing this peerless).However, we decided to call tech support and they are very helpful. My husband took pictures and sent email.They spend a few days ,did some research and found the totally different but perfect brackets for us with all instructions. They also assembled the moving arm wrong but they sent us the correct one at the same time. They apologized for these inconvenients. Their product is great.very strong,easily to move and tilt but we didnot use much of that features. We want TV to be flushed with this custom made recessed wall so we looked for model that can get flat as much as possible with folding arm. It is made in USA too.
