4.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy, but BIG!!!
Pros
1) Easy to Install
2) Sturdy
3) Articulates nicely (swivel and vertical tilt down) and no fear that TV will fall
4) Piano black finish looks nice
5) Cable Management

Cons
1) Sits farther out from the wall than described. Your TV model may sit even farther out
2) mounting "guts" still visible despite the design...

3.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy but has its problems.
Must agree this is a very sturdy little mount, but that pivot arm is just too stiff. Feels like I would yank the TV off the attachment bracket soon. Kind of lame they only include 4 screws for attaching the TV(6 mount points) and those plastic spacers are way too cheesy. If you have a LG DU-42PX12X TV I would suggest a trip to the hardware store.
Now since this...

4.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy, but BIG!!!, October 30, 2007
This review is from: Peerless Pull-Out Swivel Mount for 32-Inch - 65-Inch Flat Panel Screens (Gloss Black) Non-security (Electronics)
Pros
1) Easy to Install
2) Sturdy
3) Articulates nicely (swivel and vertical tilt down) and no fear that TV will fall
4) Piano black finish looks nice
5) Cable Management

Cons
1) Sits farther out from the wall than described. Your TV model may sit even farther out
2) mounting "guts" still visible despite the design
3) cable management designed for in-wall cabling.

Summary - For those looking for a heavy duty articulating mount, this is for you. Price is great from Amazon.

Details
This is a very sturdy mount and installation was pretty easy - I would recommend a helper to hold it, because it's pretty heavy. Unfortunately, the depth of the product means that your TV will sit more than 4+ inches off the wall, despite the fact that the description says only 2.5. If you have to use the larger mounting brackets, there's a 6 inch gap between the TV and the wall.

I was looking for a mount that would be somewhat close to the wall and still swivel out for viewing in a different part of the room. I thought this would be good, since the description said it'd only be approx 2 inches off the wall and because of the box that encloses all of the mounting hardware. However, keep in mind that with a 4-6" gap behind your TV, the vertical brackets and everything is still viewable.

I ended up returning it and simply buying a Peerless flush mount without the articulating arm.

5.0 out of 5 stars Completely satisfied, April 20, 2008
This review is from: Peerless Pull-Out Swivel Mount for 32-Inch - 65-Inch Flat Panel Screens (Gloss Black) Non-security (Electronics)
This is an excellent mount. We wanted to mount our 46" TV inside of a cabinet where we had about 8" of depth to work with. This was the shallowest mount that I could find. When you fold it up, it's about 2" deep, not including the adapter plate which adds another inch or so. It's very solidly built but in spite of it's heavy-duty construction, it is effortless to pull out and swivel (it can sometimes be a little tougher to pop back into the fully-closed position). The installation instructions were thorough and it comes with tons of hardware to work with a variety of sets. You can't go wrong with this mount.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Mount for my 42 Plasma, January 31, 2009
This review is from: Peerless Pull-Out Swivel Mount for 32-Inch - 65-Inch Flat Panel Screens (Gloss Black) Non-security (Electronics)
The Peerless SP850 UNLP-GB does everything you want....up, down, left side, right side and various degrees of tilt. The installation instructions were very easy to follow and performed, all the necessary bolts, nuts and screws were in the package....idiot proof installation. In addition, the glossy black finish perfectly matched the finish of my new TH-42PZ85U Panasonic 42" Plasma TV. So needless to say, this is the perfect mount for any large Plasma or LCD

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, November 2, 2011
This review is from: Peerless Pull-Out Swivel Mount for 32-Inch - 65-Inch Flat Panel Screens (Gloss Black) Non-security (Electronics)
Great wall mount. Used it for a 52" Sony LCD. Easy to install and looks good on the wall. The swivel feature provides good freedom of motion to swing the TV off the wall to hook up new cables and so that we get a better viewing angle when we're working in the kitchen. Very pleased.

I was looking for a mount that would work inside a cabinet with limited space around it. Most all mounts require you to mount a plate to the back of the TV, then drop the whole kit and kaboodle into the wall section vertically. There was no way for me to do this with my set-up as my media unit in-sets the TV by a depth of 8". This was an excellent solution as it was fairly low profile. Caveat here is that this weighs a lot and is built like a tank. I have another Peerless mount I bought for a plasma almost 6 years ago and it, too was made with thick gauge powder coated steel, so I knew the quality I would be getting.

Mounting tips:
1. Screw this into solid wood. Find studs and put this into wood. This sucker weighs more than the Biggest Losers. Anchors will work, but why risk it?
2. Test fit everything on the ground first to find the center point and the height from the mount to the top of the TV. If you don't do this first, this is not evident until you mount the whole damn thing. If it's too high or low, there's no way to adjust this after it's up.
3. The horizontal center point is not evident. Measure the left/right distance then tighten the set screws.

Overall a really great mount.
Comes with way more screws and attachments to fit almost every TV out there.

I needed to move my 46" Sharp LCD TV off its pedestal, and this looked good so without much research I bought it. I could have paid less but I'm not sure I'd have been as happy. The mount, which I attached to the interior side of an exterior brick wall, is sturdy, and it is very easy to pivot the TV to face the viewer. It went up easily and is very strong.

Sturdy and well built. Easy to install. My 200lb. husband hung on it once it was installed and it didn't budge an inch.

This review is from: Peerless Pull-Out Swivel Mount for 32-Inch - 65-Inch Flat Panel Screens (Gloss Black) Non-security (Electronics)
I bought this based off my dad's recommendation...he installs Peerless brand mounts in many government buildings. I am please with how solid and sturdy the product is--I don't feel that my TV is going anywhere or falling off anywhere. I have a 52" television and I don't feel comfortable grabbing the sides and just pulling in and out on the tv to make it come from the wall. The pivot arms seem a little stiff so I sometimes grab behind the television and pull the arms in when putting the TV away---it seems to be easier. Not sure if any type of grease or anything would make it slide easier or if its because of the size of my TV. Definitely happy with the stand and will be another.

Now since this mount is for large screens you could expect the wall bracket to spawn more then one stud section. I can see some folks want a tiny mount, but in my case I could care less(recessed into a cabinet). I wanted to have my TV mounted center on one stud, so I ended up first mounting a 1" solid wood plank across 3 studs and then attaching the mount to that.
