Sleek, smooth, strong support,

The support is first rate in all respects. The design is well thought out, the components well crafted and the instructions clearly presented. I can't imagine a mounting system that would be stronger, more flexible or better looking.
I found two aspects of the system particular noteworthy; the great variety of mounting hardware to accomodate different displays and the smoothness with which one can move the installed display around. Installing my 46" (65#) LCD display used just one set of mounting hardware, out of what seemed like a dozen sets provided - seemingly enough to match any conceivable panel. Different size screws, offsets, spacers, locknuts, etc. - all beautifully packaged and indexed. Once up on the wall, our unit moves in and out, swings and tilts with a very light touch. The ease of handling reminds me of the doors on a high end luxury car, no shimmy or wiggle here. Especially nice for those with a not TOO wide display is the ability to swing the unit 180 degrees. We can now watch TV from either the living room or the dining room, and hide the whole set-up behind a curtain when not in use. I have no regrets in my (sight-unseen) selection, it was well worth the $.

Peerless SA750PU Articulating Wall Arm for 32" to 50" LCD and Plasma Screens Weighing Up to 150 lb.
I purchased this mount from Amazon.com. Delivery was very prompt, even with "Super Saver". This is the second mount I've purchased from Peerless. I'm very satisfied with their products, instructions and hardware. I mounted a 46" LCD on the mount. However, I think you could mount a battleship on it, if you wanted to. It looks like Peerless provides the hardware to mount every TV known to man. If you need a great Articulating Wall Mount, buy this one...

We mounted a 50" Panasonic plasma with this unit and it was easy - after figuring out how to mount on 12" ctr studs. The wall bracket is for 16" ctr studs so we had to mount a piece of wood on the wall first to the wall studs and then mounted the bracket to the pieces of wood. 3 bolts were in the wood alone and 3 bolts were in the wood and then into a stud. It holds with no problem - it does pull out 90 degrees from the wall. So the TV can actually be perpendicular to the wall with no issues. It is solid steel material and the cabling design is very nice!

This Peerless wall mount was recommended to me by a contractor I hired to mount my 55" Samsung LCD TV. I needed something to mount in a corner and was skeptical of a cantilever wall mount type because I thought it would be too wobly with even the relatively light weight of my thin LED backlit TV.
I was pleasently suprised with the unit arrived. The device was very heavy duty and well manufactured. Mounting was done by the contractor but looked relatively easy. Definately a two man job though. The mount weighs more than my TV. The TV looks great mounted and looks like it is just floating in the corner of the room. I am very happy with the results and the mount. I would highly recommend the device to anyone looking to mount thier TV and needs some room to angle it around.

If you have to stick your TV in a corner or in an odd spot, this is the mount for you. Build quality is top notch. It's quite difficult to get the TV mounted in the single pin bracket (especially if it's over 50" and more than 50lbs) but once its in its completely solid.
Update 06/15/11 This TV is actually easy to mount. Just moved and re-read the instructions. Much easier to install this time around!

This TV mountis awesome. It is an articulating mount up to 90 degrees.
It holds a 50" Samsung Plasma with ease. I can rotate it 90 degrees easily...or any angle I prefer. I purchased this for the 90degree feature. I can turn it to face 3 different areas of the room. Great product for the $$$$$. Priced similiar for over $500.

In hindsight, I spent too much time shopping for a wall-mount for our 42" LCD TV - I wish I had gotten one of these 9 months ago.
I was looking for a TV mount that would allow the TV to be mounted near a corner, and be positioned to face out from the corner at a 45-degree angle to the room. This mount works like a charm for a corner configuration. If desired, we can position the TV well away from the corner facing either of the opposite walls of the room. When fully-extended, the face of the TV is over 33 inches from the wall! At the same time, the mount is very solid because it's attached to two wall studs. Because I'm so happy with this mount, I recently bought the same brand for a 32-inch LCD TV in the bedroom. The Peerless PA740 Articulating Wall Mount for 22" to 40" Displays (Black) is also a fine product. Enjoy.

Picked this up for my Sony 46" XBR9. Works perfectly, easy to adjust, very sturdy. Decent cable control. Instructions were average with room for improvement.
Some things that I noticed: 1) If you plan to use the cable control, remember to add 3' to the length of whatever cables you buy. 2) When the arm is folded into its flattest position, there will be about 8" from the wall to the back of the TV. 3) In my box, the unlabeled screw bag is the one that had the screws to assemble the universal mount. The labeled screw bags had the screws to mount the universal mount to the TV. 4) Don't forget to lock the articulating arm to the wall plate, before you mount the wall plate to the wall. Be sure to tighten those two screws all of the way; that way when it is on the wall, the screws will loosen properly. Along that same line of thought, don't overtighten the wall plate on the wall; if you do, it will interefere with being able to loosen those same two screws that lock the articulating arm to the wall plate. |
