I feel compelled to add another review that encourages you to check for compliance before you purchase. My new 42" LCD panel will not attach to this mount because the mount is too small. Seems like it would be fine for small panels.

This is the cheapest wall mount you will find on Amazon.com that is not generic. This peerless mount was used on a 32" TV which held it with no problems. This could have been better if it had a tilt option and a closer clearance to make it closer to the wall. I would recommend this to anyone with a 37" less or down even if it says up to 46".

I bought this hoping I could use it as an adapter for my Sony flat screen. The price was right and it worked perfectly with my Mustang wall mount. A very cheap alternative to buying the $400 Sony brand wall mount.

I have to agree with another review I just read here. The quality seems to be good, but it's just too small for any big screen. Ours is a 42" Philips Ambilight 42PF9631/37. The description here says the wall-mount is for 22-49", but the manufacturer does not agree with that. On the box and in the manual it says 23-46". Don't believe that either. It's only just over 16" wide, so there's just no way. It's also not going to work well if your studs are more than 16" (for example 24") apart. I'm also disappointed by the service of Peerless, because I emailed them the story above 2 weeks ago and I never got any reaction. This one is going back to Amazon. We bought a Sanus now, which seems to be perfect and not that much more expensive here at Amazon, while it costs about double elsewhere. Tip: Check your manual thoroughly and see if it mentions anything about VESA.

It actually DID what I hoped it would do: fit the flat panel tight to the wall. HOWEVER, I did not check what connections I needed to use to have the TV double as a pc monitor, and the mount doesn't leave enough room for the audio cabels to be attached for the computer. OH, well...

Construction quality of the mount seems good, but it is not universal out of the box. Despite being listed as compatible with my Sharp Aquos LC-37GD4U on the manufacturer's website, it does not ship with compatible screws to attach to the television. The directions list incorrect screws that are too fat, while the ones that actually do fit into the TV are too short or too long. I'd recommend trying something else rather than relying on this product's questionable compatibility info and directions.

I am not complaining about the quality of this product, as it seems to be made well. However, it is not universal as the company states. I thought I would save some money buying this, but it is nowhere NEAR big enough for my 42" TV. The part that mounts to the wall is literally 8" too short. If you have anything over 20 inches, don't make my mistake. Check your manual for the best mount first...I wish I had.
