I purchased a Peerless SGLB01 Floor Stand for a 46" in samsung LCD, and it turned out great. Then I bought another for an LG 47LH40, only to learn halfway through setup that it is not compatible with this particular 47" TV. This stand's mounting bracket supports either universal brackets or VESA 100 X 100. My LG requires VESA 200 X 200, so right now I'm stuck with a stand that won't mount my TV, even though it fits their specification of being between 32"-50". What a bummer!

I called peerlessmount's tech support and they told me I could buy the plp-v2x2 mounting bracket adapter, and that would make it work. That sounded ok until I looked on their website and found that it was $130. The entire TV stand was only about $250, so this seems like highway robbery to me. If I'd known the cost of this stand was effectively going to be 50% more, I might have chosen another stand.

In all fairness, if you go to the peerless website, you can type in your TV's model to find out if it's supported. But I bought it on amazon, and there's no such option there. If you do buy this stand, make sure you check for compatibility. On the other hand, my first TV was not listed as supported either, and it turned out to be supported, so their list isn't the best source of information. Better would be to find out what mounting system your TV supports and make sure the stand also supports it. I'm new to TV mounting. I guess I'm learning the hard (read expensive) way. No help from peerless or amazon there.

On the bright side, the TV stand does look good, assuming it's compatible with your TV!

Update: It seems you can find peerless adapter for around $65 if you shop around. It's strange peerlessmount's site causes twice as much for the same product.

We purchased this to use at a trade show. It is very well put together and heavy enough to support the flat panel. We had to modify it a little to fit the 40" Viewsonic LCD, but it only required drilling a couple of holes.

One of the other exibihitors had a panel mounted on their booth and the whole booth came down right before the show. This was a perfect choice for us and we're very pleased with it. We didn't use the glass shelf and the cables go down the inside of the post, so it looks very clean and prfessional.

We purchased this stand because we didn't want to mount our new TV on a wall. This stand looks very nice and was relatively easy to put together. It came with bags of hardware to enable mounting to almost any TV. The only downside for us was we have the stereo, TiVo, DVD player, etc... all tied into this TV so you may have to get creative on where to stack them all. Another upside was that many of the cords can be run up the back of the post so you don't see a bunch of loose wires in behind the unit. We are very happy with our setup.

You would think that an all metal stand would be indestructible. Well, let me tell you that ALL of the units in amazon's current stock are damaged. I went through a couple that were damaged in exactly the same way.

The boxes were torn to shreds when I got them. The metal was not dented or bent, but the finish is pure crap. Just the friction from the cardboard box it ships in was enough to irreparably damage the cheap spray paint coating. It is NOT powder coated. It's some kind of cheap paint. Again, just rubbing against the cardboard box it SHIPS IN was enough to permanently destroy the finish. I really wanted to keep the stand, so I tried using a sponge to remove what I thought were just scuffs, and even more of the finish came off! Zero stars. The welds are pretty messy as well.

I wanted a TV stand that would put my 32" Vizio TV up high so that when I lay in bed I don't have to prop my head up very much. It works just like I thought and the product is very sturdy and easy to install. I did it myself without any help.

The stand was slightly bigger than I expected but it is very good quality. Because of the size of the stand, I wouldn't recommend putting anything smaller than a 40" TV on it (even though it accomodates down to a 32"). A smaller TV looks really small on the stand because of its size. It is a great alternative to mounting a TV on the wall.

Was apprehensive about the product, but it worked as advertised. We need it to support a 47 inch flat screen monitor at a trade show. It worked perfectly. It was easy to assemble and it was very sturdy.

Once it was built it came out really nice. A little difficult to put together and you definitely needed two people to build it.

THE PEARLESS SGLB01 WAS DELIVERED IN LESS TIME THAN EXPECTED AND WELL PACKAGED. EXCELLECT ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS AND VERY WELL MADE. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LCD FLOOR STAND TO ANYONE. IF NEEDED,A SECOND OPTIONAL ADDITIONAL GLASS SHELF MAY BE ORDERED. ALL BOLTS AND/OR SCREWS ARE FURNISHED TO MOUNT ABOUT ANY LCD TELEVISION.
