5.0 out of 5 stars Peg Perego Uno
Many people told me to just buy a car seat which clicked into a stroller, and not to waste money on a pram. I am very glad I didn't listen to that advice. My advice is buy one of these and you will not regret it. We ordered the Tango model but ended up with the beige and red one. I think they are all very similar. I agree with the other comments about how big the basket...

3.0 out of 5 stars not as good as I expected
I own peg perego uno 2009 for 1 1/2 years. Its quality more comparable with graco for $70 than uppa baby and bugaboo. Whoever buys it should realize they overpay $300 for certain features. I bought it because of its ease of folding, big basket, handle switch facing mom or facing forward, seat can go flat, big adjustable handle bar, big wheels, large canopy.

3.0 out of 5 stars not as good as I expected, May 27, 2011
This review is from: Peg-Perego 2011 Uno Stroller, Java (Baby Product)
I own peg perego uno 2009 for 1 1/2 years. Its quality more comparable with graco for $70 than uppa baby and bugaboo. Whoever buys it should realize they overpay $300 for certain features. I bought it because of its ease of folding, big basket, handle switch facing mom or facing forward, seat can go flat, big adjustable handle bar, big wheels, large canopy.
Why I give it only 3 stars:

Ride is shaky with big wheels facing forward. Not smooth shaky like bumbleride queen B stroller or Bugaboo that has suspension, but shaky shaky. If you ever drove Lexus vs small cheap car, you would understand. Small wheels facing forward are pretty useless. I live in NYC, and small wheels don't take any barriers. I almost roll over the stroller with small wheels facing forward. So, my toddler still driving facing me with her head always turned wanting to see what is ahead. So, adjustable handle bar is pretty useless.

Width: 10 inches in narrowest place. When my baby was 9 months before walking she was chubby and had to lie almost on the side to fit in width. After she began walking, she lost the weight but she refuse to lie in the stroller now.

Length: 35 inches. My baby has long legs, and after 1 year old she would hit the wheels. She also overgrew the shoulder harness after 1 year.

It does fold easily and has big basket. Can't put anything heavy in the basket though. It will pull to the ground and make holes in the basket. Canopy is large even though it doesn't have peek a boo window. You won't need the window since you likely to use it with baby facing you. Also, if you put the stroller flat, canopy goes up and not large enough to cover the baby from sun or rain. So, that makes flat feature also useless.

Overall, it is ok stroller if you plan to use it until the baby is 1 year old, or your baby is small. It is good as a pram for small baby since baby is facing you and bottom part goes up to cover the baby from wind/sun/etc. Would I pay $370 for it if I had to buy it again? Unlikely. It seems all the parts for peg perego made in China and it is put together in Italy. It doesn't feel sturdy at all and plastic got scratched practically right away. So, good product for people who drive a lot with infants and small babies who use it for shopping malls and other flat driving areas. Not so good for city use and chubby or tall kids.

5.0 out of 5 stars Peg Perego Uno, June 16, 2011
This review is from: Peg-Perego 2011 Uno Stroller, Java (Baby Product)
Many people told me to just buy a car seat which clicked into a stroller, and not to waste money on a pram. I am very glad I didn't listen to that advice. My advice is buy one of these and you will not regret it. We ordered the Tango model but ended up with the beige and red one. I think they are all very similar. I agree with the other comments about how big the basket is and how its not too heavy to lift into a car. More importantly though, when you have a baby, it is absolute bliss to be able to let the baby sleep whenever he or she wants - having the ability to turn it into a pram instantly is fantastic - without having to bother with any spare parts. It gives you so much freedom and peace of mind knowing your baby is sleeping and completely flat and comfortable. When the baby stops sleeping you can just click the seat up and he can see out. (my friend has the Quinny pram which clicks onto her stroller but when her baby wakes up he has to stay horizontal because its just 1 piece so if she took it off she would have to carry it which is not practical) The Uno such a cosy shape, and with padded lining and decent suspension - you don't have to worry about your baby rocking about or not being cosy. The hood can click right down to block out practically all the light, which is great on a very sunny day. My baby loves it, and my husband and I are extremely glad that we bought one.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best stroller you could have - only UNO, April 8, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Peg-Perego 2011 Uno Stroller, Java (Baby Product)
Sorry for my bad grammar, but i think you will understand importance of my review

The best stroller i got is Peg Perego UNO.First my ordered stroller was PEG PEREGO SI and that is lightweight, but absolutely doesn't like as long time stroller. For couple travelings it looks OK,but not more then that.I even didn't use it,because i see that is not really good stroller for every day using.

The Second my stroller was PEG PEREGO PLIKO P3.That one looks on the picture more stronger then SI model, but when i got it - i saw that that stroller also is not good.
* It is same as SI too shaky and look like it will be broken on the next feet of riding
* The basket is too small and not convenient to hold anything.
* The stroller doesn't have any pneumatic wheels,so your baby is shaking in this stroller very bad even on straight road and looks very uncomfortable and tired during sitting instead of the rest.Totally no difference between umbrella stroller for $20 and this expensive $300 stroller.
* The wheels are very hard moving, you loose a lot of power and as other Buyer said right - you need to go to Gym to have enough power to use this stroller.
* The handle can't be switched,so you cant see you baby face and stay him alone.
* The last thing that changed my mind to keep it is the accident with PLIKO P3 on the intersection. It almost fall down with my baby on a side. After that i understand that this stroller is not secure and i will not put my baby under the risk anymore. So i contact Amazon and return it.And really i do not recommend to use PLIKO P3 - it has a nice design, but that is absolutely not secure stroller.

Both of Strollers SI and PLIKO P3 have 2 separate handles instead of one big.I think one handle is better.Firstable you can't handle the stroller by one hand, and that takes a lot of power from you to push 2 small handles instead of one big.Plus you have less control on the stroller with 2 handles. At least i have an experience with both handles types and could compare them.

But i like the design of PEG PEREGO because their sits are really large and really good for my big baby.So i did the search and found PEG PEREGO UNO.It has same design of the sit as PLIKO P3,but with more features. So i ordered and when i got it,you can't see how is happy i was. Finally i got everything i need in one stroller
* Very easy Moving Stroller. You totally do not feel any hardness in using.I catch myself that i run with this stroller, because it is very easy and fast riding so i run behind it.
* Convertible Carriage to Stroller System,2 in one.If you buy this stroller, you don't need to buy 2 separate strollers
* Big Pneumatic Wheels provide comfort to baby without bad shaking, other swing wheels are big enough too
* Really Big basket could hold a lot of shopping bags and baby items
* Strong Stroller, not shaky as PLIKO P3 or SI,Pretty secure
* The Seat design is same as PLIKO P3,but it has more padding and when my baby seat there - he lie there so long with happy face which means that is more puffy and more comfortable to my baby as previous his PLIKO
* This Stroller has full lying position so your baby could lie flat when sleeps
* The handle is one piece which is very comfortable to use it with one or two hands
* Easy Folding

So please do not spend your time and do not put your baby under risk while you find good stroller.Check the colors and price on Amazon.UNO is more expensive stroller then PLIKO P3,but i bought for $300 Color Gala, when same color in PLIKO cost $329.99.So if you are not strict in the colors - you could check which colors are cheaper and buy for same price as Pliko, maybe $50 more, but this small difference will give you big comfort for you and your Baby. You will not find any better stroller on the market then this one PLIKO UNO.

It is has all features of Carriage and stroller in one.So instead of Buying of PEREGO SKATE which costs double more and much heavier, buy PEREGO UNO,save a few hundreds dollars an enjoy it with your baby.

Hope it will help you to make right decision.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Sun Coverage, February 7, 2011
By
Lorelei's Mom "Ginny" (Riverside, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Peg-Perego 2011 Uno Stroller, Java (Baby Product)
I love this stroller. I wanted a stroller that could be rear facing so that baby could look at me when we go out on walks. I looked at many strollers that could be converted by removing and reattaching the seat but I am really glad I went with one with a flipable handel instead. I did not consider how useful this would be for blocking the sun. Don't get me wrong, the sun shade is huge and can be pulled all the way down to level of the level of the baby's tray but by flipping the handle bar, my baby can stay under the shade of the bonnet, with her back to the sun, and still be able to see out no matter which direction we walk.

I have an infant and have only used the Uno in the pram configuration so far. I do have the infant car seat but really prefer to have my baby a less restrictive seat. She seems very comfortable on our walks. This stroller seems to be holding up well after about 24 miles of use outside on sidewalks. I read in reviews somewhere that it was hard to steer when rear facing. You have to swing wider to turn and I kept kicking the wheels as they are narrower by your feet when rear facing. While it seemed awkward at first, it did not take long to get used to. This stroller is definately worth it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic stroller-worth the money, September 19, 2010
This review is from: Peg-Perego 2011 Uno Stroller, Java (Baby Product)
I bought the 2003 version of this stroller back when I had my son and it was the best thing ever. I had bought (and returned) 5 other strollers before this one, including Bugaboo, Chicco and Aprica. They had nothing on this stroller. It was lighter, easy to fold and durable. After my son out grew it, I passed it on to my cousin. It has since been through 2 other babies, with another currently using it and still looks great.
I am now expecting our second child and purchased this same stroller. The newer version is nicer than the 2003 version. It is still easy to fold, has a huge basket, is easy to get a child in and out of, and the reversible handle is wonderful. I'm sure this will get us through at least 3-4 years in comfort and style. This stroller is worth every penny and considering how durable it is, the cost over the years of use is minimal.

4.0 out of 5 stars High utility stroller, December 30, 2011
This review is from: Peg-Perego 2011 Uno Stroller, Java (Baby Product)
I have used an Uno for over a year since our baby was born. To be honest, I still prefer the look of a Bugaboo, Uppa Baby Vista, or Britax B-Ready - they sit higher and look more stylish. However, the utility of the Uno is unique in the market. I still haven't seen anything else like it. Think will keep using it for 2nd baby.

The good: Love the fact it is convertible to a pram, but doesn't have a separate bassinet that you have to change with the seat. It folds up in 1 piece, even in pram mode, so you don't have to take anything apart. Also, the pram cover is great for winter weather - we are still using it and our baby is 13 months now. The reversible handles are so convenient, and we can change the way baby is facing in 1 second to avoid sun, etc. Fully flat seat confirguration is great for newborn and baby sleeping on longer walks. Canopy can be fully adjusted down to block light when baby is sleeping.

The not so good: I didn't find any quality issues with the Uno, but it definitely does not feel as solid as the Bugaboo/Uppa Baby/Britax because it's frame has more pieces to allow the handle switch. Suspension/smoothness also not comparable to Bugaboo/Uppa Baby/Britax - will not do well on anything more than sidewalk. In the back facing mode, hard to get up curbs on the street, and steering takes some getting used to. Seat has 3 positions, but I wish the most upright position can be more upright.

5.0 out of 5 stars FABULOUS Stroller!, September 13, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Peg-Perego 2011 Uno Stroller, Java (Baby Product)
My husband and I LOVE this stroller. We wanted to get the Bugaboo, but the Peg Perrego COMES with all of the same parts, you don't have to buy them separately. Love its versatility and portability--have taken it to state parks, apple orchard and shopping and its perfect for all three events! We have the Via Spiaggio SIP 30/30 car seat and it is perfectly compatible and super easy to use. Love that it converts to a pram as well. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

4.0 out of 5 stars So far so good, April 14, 2011

So far it is good... I am not sure it is THAT GREAT though.... The handle is not at FIRM as I would have hoped... When pushing seems to have some wiggle to it... Maybe a loose screw?

I do love that the seat is wide, and the Wheels are LARGE which I LOVE!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of money, November 20, 2011
This review is from: Peg-Perego 2011 Uno Stroller, Java (Baby Product)
Anyone who spends THIS MUCH MONEY on a stroller is stupid. Especially if it's only going to be used for short time. There are perfectly good strollers/car-seats to choose from that are just as safe and CERTAINLY a lot less money. Sheesh.

1.0 out of 5 stars Made in China, NOT Italy....dont be fooled., May 30, 2011

AmyK (Los Angeles, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Peg-Perego 2011 Uno Stroller, Java (Baby Product)
The stroller clearly prints along the side of it "Made In Italy" (with the HUGE price tag to match), but then when you look on the tag in the back, it says Made In China. I emailed the company regarding this discrepancy, and this is what actually transpired:

"Dear Peg Pereggo,
I am wondering why the side of the Aria stroller says Made in Italy but on the tag of the back of the stroller it says, Made in China? That seems very deceptive to me....Can I please get a quote from you about where your strollers are manufactured? Thank you."

"Hello Amy,
Thank you for your inquiry. All Aria models are designed in Italy, however for several years they were actually assembled in China.
Carolina

Peg Perego USA, Inc."

I am assuming this is true for all of their strollers, including this on.e Basically Peg Pereggo is lying to consumers by putting Made in Italy on their strollers. The design of the stroller may have originated in Italy but they are made in China. And why the company is called Peg Pereggo USA when the stroller is neither manufactured nor designed in the USA is beyond me. Another deception. Buyer beware!!!

At present time, ALL Peg Perego strollers are Made in Italy.
For a brief period of time (only 2 years between 2006 and 2009) Peg Perego manufactured two stroller models (Aria and Aria Twin) in China.
The few units manufactured in China during that time never exceeded 5% of the total Peg Perego stroller production.
Since 2009, production of all Peg Perego strollers has been resumed in Italy.
As a result of the transition of production of the two stroller models from China to Italy, some strollers that share the same design may still have components marked as made in China. This is due to the fact that some components remain in our production pipeline for a long period of time, resulting in use on our strollers months after the components were initially acquired.
Peg Perego has more than 800 employees based in Italy, and we can assure you that all current strollers are Made in Italy, at our factory in San Dona di Piave, near Venice.
Peg Perego has been making strollers in Italy for more than 60 years. This matter is very important to us as we pride ourselves in our loyalty to our employees and customers by not having moved production to China.
