First thing is remember this IS A TOY ! See so many bad reviews about this being flimsy well I disagree ! Our little guy seems to think he can do what dad does on the REAL TRACTOR ! Pushes trees (trees don't move) still hasn't broke ! He has even put the scoop to the ground and gave it full gas and still hasn't broke ! Now of course it's not going to haul bricks as some people seem to think but it does haul light weight items. Our little guy hauls sticks, trash, other toys such as his bigger trucks & cars. As far as the directions they could be better. No words only pics. I had a big issue trying to figure out where the small metal bar went through and almost ruined the one metal cap that holds the bucket because it showed to hammer this and with out words well I almost, hammered it to pieces when you should only tap it with a hammer to bend the cap over the metal bar to attach it. Other then that I think it was a great purchase and would recommend it. The battery last all day and depending on how much he rides it the battery last for several days. One thing also I do like is this battery and the gator battery both are exchangable so if one dies I just switch out and you can put the bigger battery in versus the slim battery.

Stick with the gator. The front end bucket is very difficult to assemble and just as easy to break. It looks good but you can not load or carry 1 brick in it. Too much Weight, too cheap of plastic. In a short time I have noticed front wheels bowing out. Son is 32 lbs. Changing batteries on this is a huge pain in the rump too. You have lots of misaligned plastic and not as easy as just popping and closing hood. Rear traction bands should be standard and I put them on any Peg Product.

I don't have a great opinion of the gator either, but certainly the lesser of 2 evils in my opinion. Lots of dads stumped with these screwed up, poorly pictured, no word directions on Christmas Eve.

All Peg products have a heat limit trip fuse. If the vehicle gets under too much load up hill, or too hot, it stops. When motor temp gets safe, it operates again. I understand this....(usually as a kid is rolling backwards down a hill.)

What I don't understand why the gator (2 years older) can go twice as far as the Front End loader without tripping heat limit. Any thoughts?

Bucket does not reach ground to scoop things up. It moves up and down it just cant lower to the ground to scoop up from ground when he is seated in it. I am not sure if I missed something, but I followed the directions. My boy loves it. The trailer came with 2 good sized white plastics parts that were not listed in assembly instructions so I will call and ask what they are.

Overall I like it and My two year old is starting to get it. The construction is flimsy. The bucket dose not go up and down it only dose the dumping motion. I would not recomend this over other powered kids rides unless your kid is a tractor fanatic like ours.

My son loves it, the bucket and arms could use are design to make them a little more usable. The wheels grip pretty well on the grass. Fair product at a fair price.
