I bought this for my son a year ago for his 3rd birthday. He loved it then and still does. It does not ride well on grass unless you are going down hill. However, we go all over the neighborhood on the sidewalks. He is as proud as can be while he rides it. We have not had any durability problems and he rides it a lot. I think this toy will be passed down to our 1 year old in good condition for many more years of enjoyment.

My 3yr old received this tractor as a gift and he absoulty loves it. The pedal did come off same with other reviewers but he can still pedal easily without it. We also have the peg perego motorcycle and I like the tractor better because it is a pedal toy. This gives his little legs a workout and wears him out. The battery powered toys only wear out mom and dad who are walking alongside.

We received the tractor weeks ago. After trying to use it with much frustration because the wheel wouldn't stay on we realized that there is a broken piece. We are still trying to get the correct parts. Peg Perego has been very nice to deal with on the phone to help us correct this problem. I would not recommend ordering this item from Amazon because they will not take it back. It has been a disappointing experience.

I had to write a review after seeing only negative ones. We got this for my son when he was 15 months. He absolutely loved it. At 2 1/2 he still loves riding his tractor. Our 4 year old neighbor enjoys riding it too. The reason I gave it 4 stars for durability is because one of the pedals fell off and won't stay on. This does not really cause any problems, my son can pedal without the "pedal" attached.

I am not happy with this toy as it is defective. Upon arrival, the pedaling chain slipped out of its bracket every 10 feet. After calling customer service, we were advised to take the toy bottom off and adjust the chain bracket. We actually had to bend the metal parts of the bracket to hold the chain in place. I do not recommend this toy until the defects are fixed.

Overall, let me start by saying that this seems to be a fun riding toy for kids. I doubt its durability because it's plastic, but nonetheless it has stood up to multiple preschool children riding it daily for the nearly 10 weeks we've been in session. We've had no problems other than the trailer hitch not working smoothly. However, I had selected it based on the manufacturer's recommendation that it could be for up to 6-year-olds. No way. The preschoolers (mixed ages from 3 to 5) have a hard time fitting on it. It is hard for them to pedal because they in general are too big for it (knees going out to the side), and the angle of the seat to pedals also makes it difficult. I had already placed the seat at the farthest position when putting it together - there are only 2 choices and they're not that different from each other. So be forewarned - this is probably most appropriate for a smaller child, perhaps in the 2-3-year-old range. Otherwise, it has been a popular item but I suspect it may be forgotten in favor of the tricycles that the kids CAN ride easily.

I bought this tractor for my little boy on his first birthday. I worried that he would be too small for it but he absolutely loves it!! I have to start him pressing the petal but once he gets going he can keep pressing it. My 4 year old daughter loves it as well, although it does seem that she is a little too big for the tractor. It is pretty small and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone older than 3 only due to size. The battery lasts a long time between charges. Great for the price!

My son received this one as his 2nd b'day gift from my parents...and he simply loves it..!! It was very easy to assemble. He is still not able to paddle the whole round but can do it half way... He simply loves pushing it around when he's not sitting on it. Its easier to paddle on wodden floor rather than carpet. It would be fun to play with it outside but that'll have to wait for a fair few months now..!! It does occupy considerable space in the house and its frustrating for him when he cannot turn it around in the narrow passageway... But all in all its a good one. The trailor comes off easily.. so most of the times he detaches it...So we don't connect it most of the times.

My [...]son loves this tractor even though he hasn't learned how to pedal yet. It's very similar to Daddy's and he's thrilled by that alone. I wasn't sure how to rate hte educational value; I mean it's a a ride-on tractor not a book or a learninn device. The overall tractor is built well, but the trailer is sub par. The component used to keep the tractor and trailer together constantly comes off and doesn't keep the two attached well. And if you should happen to misplace the component then you're at a disadvantage. We recently upgraded to the two seater John Deere Gator (battery-powered) and both my son and [...]daughter can drive it (although my son hasn't learned how to steer just yet!). Very happy with both purchases and recommend Peg Perego John Deere equipment.

This is a fun tractor and trailer! It was very easy to put together, too!
