We love this highchair. I was able to get an older model for less $$ ( i was thinking of getting the Chicco before to save $$) and am so glad i did! My son has been comfortable in it from day one (it reclines) since about 4 months. The tray does sit farther away from the seat but he did not use the tray until now (9 months) for fingerfoods, before that we were feeding him anyway and simpy did not even put the tray on. The harness is really secure enough. It is so easily cleaned and rolls around the hardwood floors without problems (with brakes if you don't want that). Really love it.

I bought this for my baby while he was still on bottles. As a single mom I've built all his toys and other equipment and as someone who isn't good with 'assembly'... building this high chair was NO problem! I had the whole thing figured out and put together within ten minutes. This chair has grown with my son from a 5 month old to a 2 year old. It's gotten beat up, pushed through the house by a pre-walker and gotten more stuck on food than the ceiling of my elementary school. And it is still going strong. As far as we are concerned we'll keep it through the next child as well.

I do have a few down sides and warnings to consumers, but none of which are deal breakers. 1.) the thing that upset me the most was the color. The chair looks very black and white in the photo on this site. I thought I was getting a black and white high chair (my kitchen is black and white) so at first I was a little upset by the color but eventually I decided it matched the dining room quite well and got over it. But if you are looking for a black and white chair don't go with this one. With that being said, the design is SO cute, its got what first appear as squiggly lines but turn out to be overlapping drawings of various things, teddy bears, apples, butterflies and birds. 2.) Nothing big, but there is a Peg-Perego logo on the front of the tray, it wore off within the first few months of use. Like I said, no big deal, but I thought that was kinda cheap. 3.) As far as I have been able to tell the straps don't come completely off the chair. They unsnap to allow for a growing child, but I have found no way to take them out completely. There was a phase where my son was too young to crawl out and too old to not be able to hold himself up that I spent almost a year without using the straps, I just didn't need to. They got very very dirty and nasty from all the food, I would have liked to just remove them until a time when I needed them again when he started his climbing out of the high chair trend.

As I said none of the drawbacks are anything I would consider a deal breaker, which is why I'm still giving this 5-stars. We LOVE this chair.

We've been using this for two weeks with our 11 month old and so far, this has been a fantastic chair! This was my spurge purchase, because generally more expensive than most high chairs, but we are totally happy with it! Like a few other reviewers, we have wood floors and it's working out well. Seems like it might be even better when she is a litte bigger - she has some trouble sitting up, but that could be her and not the chair. Either way, love the cushion, the tray, the wheels and all the different chair settings. Also, really happy I purchased this on Amazon. At a local baby store, this chair was selling for $50+ more.

I have twin boys and i decided on these chairs both because i love the brand (have a perego stroller) and because they are good to 50lbs. They are really easy to clean and comfortable for the boys. The straps were too long at first so i tilted the back and let them sit without them for the first little while. Lots of positions to put them in and easy to roll on hard wood floors!

This chair is adorable. Lot's of nice features. The seat is easier to clean then the other models with the leather seats. My only complaint would be that the straps are cream and get dirty easily, and the bottom ones are very hard to take off to clean.

I bought this recently and received it today. We were so excited to start solid food with our baby! I received it a day early (yea Amazon!) and opened it to a slightly musty smell (the smell went away within 10 min or so). When we pulled the thing out, animal fur and a grainy white powder was on the arms of the chair. The straps had a slightly purplish stain in several spots. After raising the chair (in anticipation of attaching the wheels), it was obvious that the chair was also defective because the openings were bent and wouldn't line up with the tray. When we attached the wheels to the chair, the bottom of the chair was so scratched up that it was obvious someone had dragged it on the floor. Hopefully this is an isolated incident, but frankly for almost $200 for a high chair, this shouldn't have happened in the first place. I am returning it and getting a completely different chair.

I loved the look and functionality of my Peg Perego Prima Pappa Diner when I first received it in 2008 (and it matched my Peg Perego car seat!). I soon learned how difficult it was to clean the two bottom/side straps (we had to use tools to remove them from the seat, which was often necessary in order to clean all the food that got stuck in the textured straps and complicated strap tighteners/buckles). In addition, the bottom-side crevices of the seat have a little flap where food and crumbs loved to hide. Thus, cleaning it was too much work--in my opinion--for an already busy caregiver with a never-ending list of day-to-day tasks to accomplish). I did give it two stars because I appreciated its mobility (wheels), sturdiness, and fully adjustable seat. You are probably wondering why I would be using the past tense in this review given that I have a toddler and a 7-month-old; shouldn't I still be using this expensive, "grows with your child," high-end high chair, you ask...? Well unfortunately, the vinyl seat upholstery started to rip right after the 1-year warranty expired. Now it is unusable, and I have to buy a new high chair. Either that, or a handmade seat cover. Of course, I could purchase a new Peg Perego cover, but I will not give them any more of my money. I actually contacted Peg Perego about this issue and asked if this was a common occurrence; I'm assuming that it is because their response was a link to their website, where I can purchase a new upholstery cover for $60-75. Thanks but no thanks, Peg Perego. My final comment: this is what you get for being too matchy-matchy. I should have done more research and fully inspected this high chair before wasting my money on it.

This is a great first high chair! So comfy and sturdy. Our 9 month old loves it ... and the chair will clearly grow with him. Only downside is he does look pretty small while sitting in it at the moment but the harness keeps him safely in place.

We have hardwood floors and have had two other hand-me-down high chairs -- both of which would scratch our floors because they kept accidentally locking whenever we moved or kicked the chair. These wheels are great!!!!!! They roll beautifully as we move our highchair all around our kitchen. I also REALLY like the double tray because it completely covers the bottom/main tray. This way I only have to wash the top tray after each meal. Even though our old high chairs also had double trays, those trays didnt cover the bottom tray all the way, so my son would get food on the bottom tray while he was eating. Ultimately I had to end up washing both trays, which was annoying. This tray is wonderful!!!

There are two reasons I didn't give it 5 stars....
1) the straps are cream-colored and tend to show food stains easily
2) the tray can be a little sticky getting it in and out. (we've only had the high chair for a few weeks though, so this may loosen up over time. we will see).

All-in-all I love this chair and would buy this chair all over again despite the two negatives.
