4.0 out of 5 stars Nice looking, good performance, but a lot of plastic for the money.
This is a very nice stroller, and the looks are great.
PROS: The fabric is much higher quality than what you would find on a cheaper stroller and the padding is much nicer.
Once you learn how to open and close it is very easy to do. It was pretty easy to put together, I did mine 9 months pregnant in less than 20 mins.

1.0 out of 5 stars 2008 model was bad
We had a 2006 model peg perego P3 classico and loved it cause it was light, compact, and relatively sturdy. But this 2008 model was so flimsy, it even used glue on logos on the armrests. Honestly, once I opened my package, I thought the product was from a knock off brand of peg perego. Anyway, I finally bought a 2009 model with much improved handling and details.

The sun shade is amazing. If the seat is upright, the shade covers almost the whole child.
The basket can accomodate a large diaper bag or a bag of groceries.
The wheels are very easy to use, it turns very well.
The ride is very cozy for children.
The recline is easy to do and it reclines fully.
The child tray is great and very easy to use.

CONS: an awful lot of this stroller is made of plastic.
The folded size is huge compared with umbrella strollers, but it will still fit in a normal trunk, it will just take up most of it, but is a lot smaller than other travel system strollers.
The adult cup holder is odd, I removed mine to avoid breaking it when folding it.
The first few times I opened and closed the stroller, it took two adults to do it because even with the directions we found it confusing.
The stroller is a bit big for aisles in stores and is sized a bit more for the suburbs than the city.
The harness attachment is odd.
When used with the car seat, it can be difficult to know when it is secure as both the stroller and the carseat make the same click noise.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Love It!!!, January 3, 2009
I purchased a 2007 model brand new in late 2008 to save money. The 2007 model and 2008 models are identical with exception of color choices so I am reviewing the 2008 model. We purchased the Toffee (we wanted Moka, but saved over $100 by getting the previous model year in a similar color through[..].

This stroller is FABULOUS!!! We have used it with my newborn for a month now and love it! We have not tested the harness on anything but a stuffed animal because we haven't used it without the Viaggio car seat (which we also love), but so far this stroller has been amazing.

It is very light which is one of the main reasons we purchased it. I am a short (5' 1"), not very strong woman and I can easily fold/unfold it and move it in and out of the back of my SUV. The thing corners like a dream and is so easy to move through the store aisles. The shocks are amazing! We have rolled it over many rough surfaces with the baby asleep and he barely jiggled and has never woken. My husband is 5' 10" and we are both comfortable pushing the stroller around thanks to the height adjustable handles.

It does take some practice to use at first. Opening and closing it can be confusing at first, but once you do it successfully a few times it becomes second nature. I have only put the car seat on the stroller twice and am still finding it a little difficult, but my husband (who usually attaches the car seat to the stroller) can do it effortlessly now.

My only complaints about this stroller are that the seat doesn't rotate so the baby can face you (and I didn't think it worth the $500 it costs to get this feature in the Pliko Switch) and the basket is pretty worthless. It's difficult to get things in and out of the basket, it doesn't hold very much, and what it does hold is limited to what you can squeeze into the teeny, tiny access area on the sides of the basket between the top of the mesh and the bottom of the stroller frame.

I found this stroller to be worth every penny and would recommend it to anyone.

Updated August 09: I have one more complaint. The adult cup holder is flimsy and ours did finally break off. However, I was at BRU the other day and the new model of this stroller was in. They have moved and strengthened the cup holder and made the freedom of movement harness even better.

5.0 out of 5 stars My FAVORITE stroller thus far., February 25, 2010
By
So I must admit that as a mother of 2, I have gone through 8 strollers (yes, that's right 8). I have had the HUGE Graco travel system, 2 doubles, 3 umbrellas,, a Martinelli and a smaller stroller. This by far is my favorite stroller! I spent a lot of time shopping around and finally decided on this stroller!
Pros:
*The seat is 14" wide, 10" deep (16" when you put the foot rest up) and 20" til it hits the canopy. It COMFORTABLY fits my 15 month old, who is in the 70% for height.
*The basket is pretty big, although it is a little weird to get to.
*The seat does recline to about 150 degree (so not completely flat). Plus the foot rest goes up so that baby's feet don't dangle while asleep.
*The seat reclines to 4 positions.
*Easy in and out for the toddlers who like to do it "allby themselves".
*The canopy goes completely down to the tray (only in the fully seated position). Once the seat is flat the canopy doesn't completely go down.
*There is a pocket on the canopy for keys, phone and such.
*It is very light weight and has a handle on the side for carrying
*When folded it does fit between the seats in the back of my small SUV (so it is pretty small compared to other travel systems)
*The steering is AMAZING. I can steer it one handed with ease.
*The handles are pretty high up. I'm 5'2" and at the lowest position my hands hit at my stomach. The handles are extend-able for all the tall parents.
*The board on the back of the stroller is PERFECT for older children. My 3 year old LOVES this feature. Another plus is that if you take out the baby, the stroller won't tip back with the older one on. Although, I do recommend adult supervision on this part. It hasn't tipped with my daughter on, but you never know.
*It has a loop on the handles if you have a diaper bag that attaches to strollers.
*The 5 point harness actually let the child move around with being buckled in. They don't get that sense of being tied down to the stroller (my son LOVES that part, he has HATED all the 5 point harnesses on other strollers)
*I thought I would have to take off the child tray to fold the stroller, but I was wrong. The tray folds with the stroller!
*The tray is very easy to take off and clean.
*1 press wheel locks. As well as, front wheel locks for unstable terrain.

Cons:
*The cup holder sucks! It only holds water/pop bottles. I'm a coffee mom so not my favorite part. Good thing I can steer with 1 hand :-)
*No parent tray...again with the coffee thing.
*Not really a 1 handed fold or unfold, but that's ok with me. You have to make sure the front wheels lock into place. There were a few times they didn't, but snapped as soon as I put my son in.

I seriously recommend this stroller. I compared it to the Maclaren Volo, Maclaren Triumph, Jeep gEdition, Mia Moda, among other umbrella types. This one blows them away!

2.0 out of 5 stars The harness is a big pain for toddlers..., January 23, 2010
We've had this stroller for about 1 1/2 years and I believe the bads outweigh the goods. We purchased the P3 after much research and feeling we really needed something to accommodate my 3 year old daughter and six month old son. For this reason, it served its purpose for the first year of having 2 children. She loved being able to hop on the back of the footboard when she needed to take a break from walking at the park or zoo.
But ever since my son has been walking, this stroller has been middling at best. The type of harness they have on the P3 is advertised so that your child will continue to have range of motion while in the stroller and herein lies the real problem. It simply doesn't RESTRAIN my child. When we're in a store, he can grab things simply by standing up with the harness on. Now that he's nearly two years old, he simply takes the shoulder straps down and wiggles out of it. I have found him standing up on the seat of his stroller many times. The design just doesn't make much sense to me.
As a mother of two I currently have 3 strollers (a double and a jogging single) and this is the only stroller that has this type of harness and restraint system and it's the only one he can get out of so easily! Sadly, I'll be purchasing a cheap lightweight single for outings with my son now that my daughter doesn't need to ride as much.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cute, but probably wouldn't buy it again., April 21, 2009
I bought this stroller last year in the orange polka-dot pattern and it's adorable!! But after really using it, I'm not sure I would spend the money on it again. It comes with 1 drink holder that neither my husband nor I could ever figure out how to install, and no other storage on the top for parents to use. And, if you have a long glide when walking, this is not the stroller for you. When I power walk through the neighborhood with it, I keep hitting the top of my foot on the back wheels. But, other than those things it does seem to be a sturdy stroller. My favorite feature is that I can unzip the top canaopy and that allows me to adjust it at any angle, which is good when the baby is laying down taking a nap.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stroller-ific!, April 9, 2009
I got this stroller b/c my sister had the 2005 version and I loved it. For my first son we had the Jeep jogger, which is a great stroller...but it's kinda on the large side. So when I saw the P3 on sale for $100 less, I was psyched to get it for when my 2nd son was born. He has yet to ride in it, but my toddler (2.5 yrs) loves it.

things I really dig about it:

- simple to put together...I assembled it when I was 9 months pregnant
-easy to open and close...even when I have my newborn strapped on me. BUT
it takes one or two tries to really figure it out.
-takes up much less space in my car than my jogger stroller
-the hood/canopy thing encompasses the entire thing. started to rain one
day during our walk, pulled the canopy down, and my son stayed dry.
-the snack tray is easy to open so that my son can climb in/out easily
- the storage area is large... it is a little difficult to put things in
from the side...it's better to use the back
-the easy-to-use carry handle on the side

things that aren't so great:

-it's a bit difficult to manuever on tight turns. my other stroller you can
manuever with one hand easily.
- the shocks aren't the best. again, I am spoiled by my other stroller
which has awesome shocks
- kinda pricey...try to get it on sale!

4.0 out of 5 stars Comfy for baby, With some drawbacks, July 14, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this camara as a second stroller to go in my husbands car. I have the Peg perego skate in my car and wanted to get the smaller version on it because I love it so much. The stroller is very comfy for my son and when he was 6 wks old we would fully recline the seat for him or attach our peg perego carseat which snaps in. The seats are easy to wipe down after messes and is very light weight for everyday use. The only drawbacks I can think of is that the wheels dont allow for a full stride if you have long legs. I am constantly stepping on the back wheels as I walk. Not really a deal bracker but enough of a problem to mention. I also am not a fan of the snacktray as I find it hard to get stroller bar toys to stay attached to it. Besides those two things I think its a very good stroller. I have the black and white bubbles one and receive complaments on it all the time. I recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE this stroller!, February 21, 2009

KHN (San Diego, CA USA) - See all my reviews
I have this stroller in mod green, and I absolutely love it! At first I had a cheaper Graco stroller and I hated it (so did my son). I decided to upgrade and I'm so glad I did!

My son loves riding in this stroller, and it has lots of great features. My favorite is the harness system that keeps him safely in the stroller, but allows him to lean forward and move around as if he weren't strapped in. I think this is why he loves it so much. Our old stroller had him strapped to the back of his seat and he didn't like being constrained. I love how the tray opens to let him climb in easily, and the sun canopy has excellent coverage (and even zips off to let air through the back if it's hot outside).

The foot stand in back is also fantastic, I can use it to help jump the stroller up curbs easily and my son loves riding back there if he's getting tired but doesn't want to sit down (he thinks he's pushing the stroller!). You do have to fold down the canopy for him to see over it if he's standing back there - but that's no problem. I also think that it's easy to fold, but it did take me a few tries before I had it down. You can do it one handed, but it's easier and faster if you can use both hands. Overall, I love this stroller and am really happy with it - we've used it for nearly two years without any issues yet!

3.0 out of 5 stars Just Okay, December 16, 2008
By
K2 (Decatur, GA) - See all my reviews
I'm not a huge fan of this stroller. I had a Graco Metrolite and a Bob Ironman jogging stroller for my 3 year old son. I loved both. I purchased this stroller primarily because it claimed to have a toddler stand and ride feature. That is completely useless - the seat needs to be completely upright and the canopy off and even then, it is very difficult for my 3 year old to hold on. As for the other features, I don't feel the same quality that other reviewers speak of. The cup holder broke right away, the seat recline mechanism doesn't work well, and the breaks seem flimsy. Pros: It is easy to fold, attractive, and the snack tray is great. I'm not completely displeased with the purchase, I just don't think it's worth the extra $$.
