We love the head rest which is totally adjustable and has that side impact protection built in, and he said that the seat is very comfortable.

Some carseat manufacturers require vehicle headrest support to the top of a high-back booster, and some do not. I ordered this seat for my 5-year-old son without realizing that it requires headrest support from the vehicle. We do have headrests in all seating positions of our 2009 VW Jetta Sportwagen, but it is easier to install child restraints with the headrest removed, as they stick out beyond the back of the vehicle seat. This booster fits nicely with the vehicle headrest removed, but with the headrest in place as advised in the booster's manual, it creates a gap of about 4 or 5 inches between the back of the booster and the vehicle seat back. I emailed a photo to Peg Perego customer support and they emailed back (very quickly, so their customer service was prompt!) to say that the gap was not acceptable and if the back of the booster does not sit flush with the vehicle seat back, the booster can be used without the back. Well, we already have a backless booster (which can be purchased for about $20 depending on the brand) for travel or short rides with friends, and I didn't pay nearly $200 for extra head and side protection only to use this thing backless! So back it goes.

The fabric and construction of the seat is nice, and the seating area is quite cushy. The latch connectors are a nice feature to prevent it from becoming a projectile if it were unoccupied in a crash. The cupholders are dinky and when I tried out the recline handle it seemed to stick a little, but that might just be because I wasn't used to it. If it had worked in my car I'd give it 4 stars, but if you are thinking about purchasing this seat first look at your headrests to see if they might pose a problem with installation.

I am a car seat fanatic and my 4 kids range from 1-7. I had been using the Britax Parkway SGL 2012 models (3 of them) and decided to get the new and improved 2013 models. My 1 year old has Peg Perego's infant seat (which is sooo nice) and so I thought I'd research their high back booster seat to compare to Britax since they are both high end brands (Peg Perego being much pricier) I have used and trust. I decided to give the Peg Perego high backs a try. I ordered 3, and the moment I took one out of the box, I was disappointed. For a $200 booster seat, I realized just by looking at the one, they weren't even as quality as my 2012 Britax seats. I did put one in our van, just to have my 5, 6 and 7 year olds try it out. The first thing out of my 7 year olds mouth was, "this is not comfortable." I bought them for the quality name and the recline feature (it was "cheesy" and useless) but I could see they weren't as quality as my current ones, so I boxed it back up and returned it along with the other 2 to Amazon, which I will say, was speedy and great about my returns. I immediately ordered 3 of the new 2013 Britax SGL seats, which came a few days later. I am happy to say they are great! Plusher, thicker seats, way better side and torso wings, WAY better cup holders, and even better, more quality looking. You would think for twice the price, Peg Perego's would be better.

I bought this booster seat because it had great ratings and was the only one I could find that reclined. We take lots of long road trips and our other booster seat was too upright for sleeping. This allows enough recline to keep your child's head from falling forward. The down side is that for everyday the seat belt is much too hard for a 6.5 y.o. to manage independently and consistently. I watched a video review online and should have noted the trouble the little girl had. You can't leave the seat belt in the red belt holder that is in between the seat base and head rest (over the shoulder location). The slot is too tight for the belt to slide through and so each time the seat belt must be removed and replaced in the seat belt holder/slot. This is a major inconvenience and means that as a parent you are having to help most times with buckling your child in. Given that we go on road trips monthly but use the car for short trips daily, I would NOT buy this booster seat again. Convenience rules over comfort in this case.

Like most of the parents I did extended research on car seats before making my choice. I ordered from Amazon: Britax Frontier 90, Clek Oobr Booster Car Seat, Peg Perego Viaggio HBB 120, and Britax Parkway SGL Belt-Positioning Booster Seat. Out of the 4 I like the most Peg Perego. It would be the perfect booster if has a 5 point harness. Britax Frontier 90 has a 5 point harness and it seams well padded, but is way too bulky, very heavy, and the fabric is not as nice as the Peg Perego. Clek Oobr is probably the sturdiest, heavy, but has no 5 point harness. Britax Parkway SGL is flimsy and the fabric is cheap. I'll keep the Peg Perego for now, but I'm still researching for the best booster seat.

Color Name: Crystal Beige Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I got this seat so that everyone in the family could keep a seat in their cars and not have to move seats from car to car. This seat is very easy to install and is very well built. The material on the seat is nice quality but I have a problem with the color because it would be hard to clean if juice spills or other spills. I think that the booster part of the seat will be great when my granddaughter is old enough for that. I read other reviews that said that the cup holders were flimsy but I don't see them as any more flimsy than the ones that were on the other seat that I have used. nice seat. Hopeful to get alot of years of use out of this product.
