I purchased this tv for my kitchen and its perfect for that area, the speakers are actually pretty good too. The manufacturer says it can be wall mounted, and it screw holes for that purpose, but in reality, you can't, because with the cords on the back, it won't sit flush against a wall. Amazon's product description also says it has a USB port and internal 4gb memory. It has neither of those. Not a big deal for me, but if you wanted to use those functions, then you are out of luck.

When I first opened the box and pulled the unit out of the plastic, I noticed how light the unit was. This is great feature for portability but the unit itself would not be a great option for a portable. I wanted to get a portable TV that I could pretty much take anywhere in the San Francisco Bay Area and watch over the air digital channels. The first problem with this TV is it always has to be plugged in. There is no car adapter or USB connection. The 2nd issue was that it didn't pick up many of the available digital channels. It comes packaced with an HD/Digital antenna but it's too weak. I live in an area where the signal is strong, so not picking up many of the channels is not a good thing. When I do get a channel the picture looks good although the text is doubled like having a burned on image shadow. I guess you would have to get a better antenna; perhaps amplified even.

With that said, if you are using it simply as an extra TV to keep around the house, it's fine. It has composite and s-video connections for your DVD player or VCR and of course, input for cable.

Pros:

- Nice 9" inch screen with good video quality
- Has Composite/S-Video inputs
- Strong sound
- Bundled with an HD/Digital antenna

Cons:

- Not a great portable TV (has to be plugged in)
- Bundled antenna does not pick up many over air broadcasts

On the Item Descripion it says 2-3 hrs running time - which to me implied it had some kind of battery. It has none, so it must kept plugged in to both a power souce and an external antenna, because the included antenna is very flimsey and not effective.

The Pegasus ST09-W 9" LCD TV DOES NOT have an internal battery and must be powered using the supplied AC Adapter (note I did not say Charger since there is no battery to charge). The product description is wrong and misleading in that the product DOES NOT have a USB port, memory or the ability to record. There is no Zoom mode for viewing (i.e. to make a 4:3 broadcast fill the 16:9 screen area), only Wide and Standard.

I bought this on Amazon for a long driving trip.
I used it in the car and can't see a damn program because the antenna has to be still to receive good reception.
So that was no good--it should not be considered as a portable device.
So I gave it to my mom.
She used it next to her bed so when it's cold and she doesn't want to get out of bed, she can just watch TV in bed.
But the same problem again, the antenna reception was so weak, I had to pull the long cable all the way to the top of the window to get a clear signal.
Another problem, if you scan the channels when it doesn't have good reception, you will be lucky to get a few channels.
But when you have good reception (after setting the antenna really high and nobody walks around when you are scanning channels), then you can pick up lots of available channels.
Warning, people walking around does affect the signal.
The volume is good enough but the resolution really sucks. It is so low you can see the pixel starring at you.
The overall design is nice with almost pearl like casing it is pretty.
The controls are easy to use.
No battery compartment so it's not a portable device.
It's good for kitchen but it really doesn't stand firm and could be easily tipped over.
I'd buy this as a back up TV for under $80. (with TV's price dropping so much lately).
Anything higher price you should consider a larger screen instead of this.

USB 1.1? 4G? Um... whoever wrote the description was not describing this TV.

It does not record. There is no USB interface. There is no internal battery. There is no memory onboard. Don't believe the (1-10-2010) description provided - this is what you get:

What is does have is a new ATSC digital tuner and a 640x480 LCD display that has been stretched to match the new 16:9 format video (although it is not HD).

The antenna that comes with the TV is pretty sad - two collapsable rods that swivel to form a v, about 6" long. Doing a channel scan with this antenna found one channel.

I connected the TV to my house antenna system and it found 84 channels (that includes all the x.1, x.2, x.3 etc channels) My house antenna has a 15 foot long boom and is mounted 50 feet above my roofline, about 70 feet in the air, and has a distribution amplifier to run to every room in the house. So with a strong signal the picture is great.

the composite and s-video inputs are helpful if you want to use it as an external monitor for camcorders but you'll need AC power because there is no car adapter provided and no battery.

If you are handy with a soldering iron you can make a 12 V adapter for it and have a nice battery powered TV for use in an emergency or with a good antenna while on the road for passengers in a vehicle. It is supplied with a wall wart power supply and that's it.

I bought this small Digital TV to use with my Karaoke machine. My previous small screen t.v./radio combo quit working on me. What I like about this unit is that the screen is much bigger and the words to the songs are much easier to read for a 72 year old it's a big plus. The unit is light weight and easy to carry and hooking it up to the Karaoke machine takes less than a minute. I'm very satisfied with my choice.

I bought this TV to watch in the kitchen as it was small and could stand like a photo frame. Good picture quality, (depending upon signal strength in your area) you could even hook up a dvd player to it if you wanted to. Audio is a little bit tinny sounding but I can live with that. Overall a good tv for the price!

I purchased this TV on sale for [...] bucks so I got my money's worth. The tuner is sub par. Strong stations nearby overload it but it doesn't pull in weak stations very well either. I'm using cable so it doesn't matter. The color is not all that great either but I'm using it in the kitchen anyway so I wasn't too picky about detail. It seems reasonably built and if it lasts a few years I'll be happy

I thought this might be nice as a portable TV, but got no signal in the middle of St Louis, MO. The wiring attached to the back (for a cable/antenna input) is done in such a way it won't mount flat to the wall, so isn't great as a small TV in the house. For a portable unit this is not great, since it doesn't have great reception, I'd prefer to just get a portable DVD player. It just didn't work for me. I returned it.
