This delicate, yet durable plate is designed off of layers of stencils, placing color onto color, and then fired at over 1500 degrees fahrenheit. The color will never wear of fade for a lifetime of everyday enjoyment and use. The Birthday plate is both microwave and dishwasher friendly. Feel free to put your Birthday plate into the dishwasher but be mindful of harsh detergents and hard water so it doesn't haze. Like all untempered glass, this plate should not be placed in an oven. Also, avoid putting hot food on a cold plate. The Birthday Plate from Peggy Karr: functional art at it's finest.

I wanted a special plate to serve the birthday person's dinner on. And this is just the ticket. I love it!!! I also have the Wachtersbach "You are special today" plate- which I use for the breakfast treat for the birthday boy or girl. I wash this plate by hand.
