The Peggy Karr 9-inch pumpkin patch glass bowl is beautiful and practical. Perfect as a breakfast or salad bowl, or a stand-alone art piece, the pumpkin patch glass bowl is delicate, yet durable and, it will never fade. The design is a part of the dish - it is not painted on the bowl, and it is not applied with adhesives - it's actually part of the dish. Powdered colors are placed between two pieces of glass and then the total piece is fired at over 1500-degree fahrenheit, melting the glass together and permanently sealing in the colors and design. Since Peggy Karr products go through this process, this bowl can be used every day, and the beautiful colors and design enjoyed for a lifetime. This bowl is microwave safe. Bowl is also dishwasher safe, but be mindful of harsh detergents and hard water so it doesn't haze. Like all untempered glass, this bowl should not be placed in an oven.
