A great guide with lots and lots of pictures... even someone without any decorating bones can use the photos and easy suggestions to make their home look like a model home. Its great cause its not a lot of boring reading, just quick bullets on what to do in each room. And if you like watching HGTV, then the DVD is fun to watch! Good Luck and have fun, I did!

I bought this off the web with little insight into the contents. I actually purchased the book with the DVD, but haven't even had time to look at the DVD yet because I'm still trying to absorb the wealth of knowledge in the book. Great photos! Awesome content (read the blurbs), I have definitely been able to absorb more knowledge from this single book than all of my decorating and home staging experience up until now. This book is a must-have for everyone who loves their home or is in the need of staging. This is a must-have for Home Stagers as well, with incredible ideas I would otherwise not have thought of that are easy and inexpensive, but look fabulous! BUY ME NOW!

I loved the format of this book/DVD. The book is divided into a chapter per room, with tips on staging that room. While all of us may not have a pool house or guest quarters, the rest of the information is given in easy-to-follow checklist format. The DVD is the best part. The first part of the DVD is a little boring, but the last part (where you actually watch Peggy as she step-by-step stages a home from scratch) is extremely helpful. If you're looking for some quick and easy staging tips, this is the book/DVD combo for you. I finished the book in 30 minutes and the DVD takes 45 minutes to watch.

Peggy recently staged our home to get it ready to put on the market. Our home was beautifully furnished and well cared for, but dated. Peggy, using the ideas outlined in her book, made suggestions of things we should do to make our home look up to date and ready to put on the market. We were amazed at the transformation that Peggy's simple changes made to our home. As a matter of fact, we liked the new look of our home so much that we would have had second thoughts about selling it if we hadn't already bought another house.

Thanks to Peggy we sold our house in less than 2 weeks in a very slow market. Three houses of the same model as ours have been sitting on the market for many months and still haven't sold. The ideas in Peggy's book really work!

I bought this on a whim - thinking it would probably be "light." Even though it is an easy, fast read, it's actually very helpful, well organized and covers new information from other staging books I've purchased. The CD is a bit amateur but again, covers the information and has great examples. I'm glad I have it in my library and I've put the information to use, successfully, already.

I was very impressed with the information within this book and CD!!! She shows you how to do it on the CD. It's a must read if you are planning to sell your home. I wished my realtor told me about staging my house. It makes a huge differences in how one presents their home for selling. You need to give your home that model home look for a quick sell and your asking price.

I found this title to be pretty helpful overall. It's well laid out in an easy to read text, and the format is easy to follow. Peggy takes her readers through every room in the house and even includes help for outdoor areas as well. I was impressed by the extra sections on how to stage 'non traditional' living spaces, like an exercise room, a bar, basement, games room. Plenty of home owners have this kind of gear in the house, but have no idea how to present it when selling. Most books on home staging don't cover these living spaces at all (except to say get rid of the stuff). A major plus for this title too is the many, and good sized colour photos for all the living spaces. The accompanied video is a little on the amatuer side, but still helps to give viewers a good understanding about many principals of home staging. Readers with a good idea of the home staging concept might find this guide too simplisitc, but that's not the reader the author is targeting. It's well worth it for the DIY home stager who needs to start at the very beginning.

Stage Your Home For Profit is full of smart, simple techniques the average home owner or real estate broker can do to get a home ready for market--or to even make it more livable for themselves. The ideas given in the book make perfect sense and greatly improve the first impression of a home and the overall feel of it. It's a great buy!

This book has the best staging advice! It is simple, but wow what an impact Peggy's book and DVD have had on me. I am not selling my house, but I have used Peggy's ideas for staging in my home. I had a problem with the family cleaning up after themselves esp. in the kitchen (where we eat). I practised staging there and now after everyone eats..they clean up and return my staged dishes back to their original place. My kitchen always looks picture perfect. Thank you Peggy!!!

And Peggy is not trying to sell you on taking training classes from her. Barb Schwarz's books on staging give out just some info and then she tries to get you to become an ASP (accredited staging professional)by having you shell out big $$$$ for her classes. Peggy is honest and gives you lots of great ideas. The DVD was a little disorganized, but I really enjoyed learning from her. Wonderful!

What a great little book. I'm a Home Stager and enjoyed this book so much. I didn't necessarily learn anything new, however I found it very informative, especially for the average seller whose house has been on the market way too long. The pictures are great.
