I applaud Pegi's CD. I always thought she was so lucky to have Neil....the tables are turned! Pegi's voice is torchy, soulful and sexy. Obviously, "She likes the party life."

I was very curious to hear this CD, and was not disappointed. Everytime I listen to the songs, I like them even more. The melodies are memorable, her voice is hauntingly sweet, and the lyrics can be related to by a diverse audience. I have always been a huge Neil fan, and now I am a huge Pegi fan.

Pegi Rocks!,

What a fantastic and unique new artist! I am just delighted with this new CD. Pegi really has a wonderful and melodic tone that is somewhere between easy listening folk and modern country. There are few new sounds out there today, but somehow this CD sets a new standard for a breakthough. I really love "Sometimes" and "Fake." Great job Pegi!

Solid Effort, Respectable Outcome,

It's a tricky business when the wife of an icon decides to release her own CD. It's hard enough being a back up singer in yer man's collectives. But Pegi Young acquits herself well in both regards here. This isn't the greatest CD you'll ever hear, but Young is a solid writer who can string a melody together. Her voice is a bit reedy and a little flat, but that works with the country-folk-rock numbers she has penned. This isn't far away from HARVEST era music, and that seems to suit Young to the ground. It's certainly her strength. The musicians helping out are largely NY colleagues: Keith, Oldham, et al. Young himself adds a synthesized sitar to one track. Wisely Pegi elects not to cover Neil's tunes. She does tackle some superb numbers by Oldham and Will Jennings, and comes across as the genuine article. While she isn't threatening June Carter Cash, she is certainly better than Patty Scalfa, Courtney Love and a host of others, and miles beyond Linda and Yoko (although in fairness to Linda, she didn't want to be in the band).
