Peking Diary,

This review is from: Peking Diary : A Year of Revolution (Hardcover)
When the Communist Eighth Route Army entered Peking in January 31, 1949, the lights flashed on again in the darkened city, and more brilliantly than they had in many a month. Was this clever Communist propaganda or a heralding of better things to come? What happened in Peking would reflect Communist action in all civilized China.
