I got this case to pack my photography gear in while flying. I fit two full size DSLRs, a 500mm F4L, 580EX flash, 70-200mm F2.8L, batteries, cards, etc. Everything is custom fit via the pick and pluck foam. Although not officially a carry-on size, it does fit in overhead bins and every time I've traveled I've had no issue carrying this on board. The built-in roller wheels added a lot of ease for navigating the airport. Highly recommend.

first, i love DT color, black is fine but everyone has a black case so the DT is perfect for finding your stuff easy and smooth.
I got the 1610 as well as the 1510, too big or to small, the 1560 is perfect for a couple of days, three to five i would say depending on location and of course the time of year ( thicker clothing needs more space right ;) )! i took the foam complete out, think about a Lid Organizer though ( after i bought one for my 1510 which works great !) and traveled recently with the case to Kobe ( Japan but as i live in Japan it is not tooo far !), my stuff, from the cloth i brought to the souvenirs i bought , space enough even for the free slipper from my hotel when i checked out and i have to admit i pack a lot of gear ( usually for 3/5 days every day underwear / socks/T-shirts to 2/ 3 pairs of slacks , 2 jackets, shirts, some warmer clothing even a shermagh found it way in it and of course toiletries , in various airtight bags ( compression ones ), some maps, extra sunglasses a Maxpedition Pocket Org. as well as an 1020 Pelican Case for my Kodak Sport ! Still enough space, easy to handle for me ( the Hotel Staff had some trouble though :D !) , rolls very smooth and the Handles feel strong and reliable ! The Pull out handle is a bit flimsy , also i attached paracord around it to make the grip a bit thicker but that is a personal choice the latches lock fine and there is not much movement in the Lid when you close it, no twisting like i have exp. with my 1610 ! what else ? The perfect size for me, tough of course, you will stand out of the crowd but that is no problem here in Japan ( for my travel abroad i guess i gonna buy a BK version as well ;) !)

I bought this case to haul two powered speakers as part of a portable sound system. It fits them perfectly, with room to spare. The case is very heavily built to protect the contents, and the three layers of foam lining let me customize the fit. I think you could run a truck over it, and the contents would be unscathed. There is a handle that pulls out, and the case has wheels, so that it can be pulled along like a piece of luggage. It's not light in weight, and it's expensive, but I know that my speakers will be well-protected. I definitely recommend this, and all Pelican cases.
