I've got this in a few colors and the whole family likes it, including kids ages 7 and 9. Maybe the reviewers complaining about the size started using the wii remote without it and so were used to the smaller size. We've used this since about a week after getting the wii. The nerf surface makes it more comfortable for us, since it is soft instead of the hard plastic that you have without it. We originally had more a style that was more like a skin, but it was very hard to get on and off without tearing it... a pain when replacing batteries. This one we can easily take off to replace batteries.
To summarize:
- size good for adults and young kids in our family
- soft, comfortable surface
- tough...does not tear like skin-style remote covers
- removes easily for battery replacement.

Not only is this sleeve bulky (too large for kids)
but it will not fit your remote if you are using Nyko
rechargeable Batteries. Total waste of money!!

I go this with my Wii because the remote controller feels too slim for me, and this fixed it right away! Nice and big, the sleeve makes it the perfect size so you can hold onto it for hours without any slip. A few times I've forgotten to put the strap on, and as we have all seen at least once, my palms got sweaty and I felt it start to slip, but the Nerf material kept it stuck to me with little effort!
Of course this isn't meant for kids' little hands, it's meant for larger hands that have trouble or cramping around a small remote!

Purchased a couple of these for my Wii. They are well built and provide plenty of padding and protection if the remote goes flying from your hand. Very easy to install. However, the sleeve is much too big for comfortable use, especially for my kids. We've gone back to a simple silicon sleeve.

The Nerf sleeve is bulky, making the Wiimote uncomfortable to hold. I have big hands, and I was still having trouble holding the Wiimote for more than a few minutes during game play. If you have huge, basketball phenom, Abraham Lincoln hands this might be the product for you.
