5.0 out of 5 stars Cordless is the way to go!
Sick of yanking the controler cord out of the unit I vowed to get a cordless one. After purchasing this style I can't be happier (I now have 3 of them). You can actually hook up 8 of them without interfering with each other. The unit works just like a corded one, there is no noticeable lag and reacts instantly to your inputs. 1.0 out of 5 stars didnt work
I bought this when i got the xbox because i hated the huge controller. Took it out of the millitary issue plastic wrap and 20 minutes later pluged in in with Halo. It worked for 5 seconds and then shut off. I tried everything like changing the channels on the reciever and controller and it just quit. I do not recomend this.

You can actually hook up 8 of them without interfering with each other. The unit works just like a corded one, there is no noticeable lag and reacts instantly to your inputs. The batteries last for a long time and the reception is flawless.(I use and recommend rechargable ones, esp. ones with a high maH). The unit is very ergonomic and comfortable to hold. The only knock I have with it is the painted coating gets slick during intense gaming. Overall very nice design and good product.

1.0 out of 5 stars junk, November 8, 2007
This review is from: Pelican Accessories PL2006 Pelican Eclipse Wireless Controller for Xbox (Video Game)
My wired teen who I got this for tells me - This controller is terrible, look elsewhere.
If you're looking for a junky controller to let your guest play on then get this, other than that, the joysticks are actually sharp and will hurt after a few minutes of play, the joysticks stick and my controller has a bias after a month. The buttons do not always work and if they do, they stick occasionally, this is not a very responsive controller and has a tendency to ignore button pushing unless you hammer the button down, the thumbsticks are also very SMALL, I know they look big in the pic but they're tiny, you slip off them and it's REALLY hard to push them in to crouch or use the scope or whatever. Good battery life but hey, if it doesn't work half the time, who cares how long that time is. Get a better one, the standard controller is superior to this one.

2.0 out of 5 stars Decent, not worth the money though, June 21, 2004

I purchased this for my XBOX a few months ago, and I must say that this controller is unacceptable. Sometimes while I play the joystick won't let me walk backward on Halo. Sometimes it won't move at all on some games. It I could go back in time, I would have bought a Microsoft brand XBOX controller. Don't get me wrong, this controller is worth about ten dollars at the most.
