Product Description

Pelicans unique double-hull tri-groove construction provides the most quiet ride and best performance of any Jon boat in the industry. These fishing and hunting-friendly boats can hold up-to 36 cubic-feet of cargo. A rivet and maintenance-free ribbed deck provides extra strength. Couple this with a three-channel tracking hull, and you end-up with the most popular, quiet and watertight Jon boat on the market.

Amazon.com

Enjoy a smooth gliding hunting or fishing expedition with the Pelican Intruder, a flat-bottomed Jon boat that offers a greater level of stability compared with V-hull aluminum boats. This 12-foot Jon boat has a ribbed deck for extra strength and smooth quiet ride and it's outfitted with vertical rod holders, carrying handles and oarlock sockets. It's pre-wired for a trolling motor and/or fish finder, and it includes a built-in motor mount on transom and bow electric motor mount. Other features include 36 cubic feet of unobstructed interior space and built-in flotation for added safety. The hull and deck are made of durable RAM-X high-density polyethylene, which offers high impact resistance and memory capacity (ability to regain original shape after impact).

I have owned this boat for over 5 years. For a 12 foot Jon boat this one fits the bill for me. It is easy enough for 2 people to lift and move and can also be done by one person of decent strength. I use it for medium to large sized fresh water lakes and have never had a problem with cracks or dents. I have dragged it through rocks repeatedly and also loaded it with 4 grown adults (3 on swivel seats I installed and one sitting on the floor on seat cushions) and it was still doable. It is sturdy and well constructed and as for the previous review, mine has oar recievers built in (you have to obviously buy your own oars and oar holders) I use a Minn Kota 55lb thrust trolling motor and that is plenty of power for this boat. I would highly recommend this boat to anyone!

Verified Purchase
Don't believe the product features.
The boat does not have oar lock sockets.
This years model must be made cheaper and is not reinforced for sockets.
I also ordered a drain plug. It can not be put in the rear of the boat but only in the side.
I am not a happy fisherman.
Amazon is happy because now I have to buy an electric motor and battery.
