Product Description
Pelican Protector Cases are made with Copolymer Polypropylene, using an open cell core and solid wall construction, which is stronger and lighter that the completion. You can tell it's a Pelican case by the distinctive "twin-ribbed" top surface. Stainless steel pins are used for hinges and handles. The new Double-Throw latches are much easier to open.

-Durable enough to protect my laptop in a combat zone.-A bit pricey but worth it to protect my laptop. -Easy to tear the foam to the exact size for my laptop and a cutout on the side for my power cord, ipod, and psp. -Locks are strong enough to deter theft. -Overall good product. -I wish I had purchased a larger case so i could stash my psp and ipod in their own cutout spaces.

I chose a Pelican case over a purpose-built telescope eyepiece case as the price was slightly better and I could safely store eyepieces and other telescope accessories inside.The case itself is surprisingly light. The foam is pre-cut making it easy to create perfect cutouts for my eyepieces, collimator, reflex sight and red flashlight. I had to return the first case I ordered as the plastic that held one end of the handle was broken when it arrived. The US distributor of Pelican cases has been bought out and is apparently doing a terrible job of shipping replacements (July 2010). The original company I ordered from said it could be months before they received a replacement case.

Worth every penny. It fell off the back of a HUM-V in Afghanistan and the computer had no damage. It made it through a dust storm with no dirt or dust on the computer.
