The key to this water-resistant iPod Case is its tough, high-impact polycarbonate shell and rubber liner. When closed, the lid creates a tongue-and-groove fit with the shock-absorbing rubber liner, which doubles as an o-ring. The single latch is made of strong ABS plastic with stainless steel pins, which keeps the case closed after drops and hard knocks.
The i1010 is engineered with a special external headphone jack that allows users to protect their iPods while playing. It also features a molded rubber compartment that fits and protects the iPod nano, iPod shuffle, and all generations of the iPod classic. The lid has plenty of space to for storing earphones or cables. The case also features a detachable reflective integrated strap loop for tying to backpacks/etc.

The box works great even though it was too small for the Ipod classic. I did send it back and Pelican replaced it with the next size up.

This is the product to buy when you absolutely, positively want to protect your ipod. I have one that has been in a pack throughout 3 years of heavy use plus airline and Amtrak travel and in numerous rafts on whitewater float trips and it works perfectly. Pelican cases are not the cheapest on the market...just the best. These cases will do what they say they will do and there is an iron-clad guarantee.

It's Pelican, what else do you have to say. Bought this for taking iPod camping. Got rained on a number of times now. Not a drop got in. Also helped with a few unexpected drops. Definitely recomend.
