The box works great even though it was too small for the Ipod classic. I did send it back and Pelican replaced it with the next size up.

This is the product to buy when you absolutely, positively want to protect your ipod. I have one that has been in a pack throughout 3 years of heavy use plus airline and Amtrak travel and in numerous rafts on whitewater float trips and it works perfectly. Pelican cases are not the cheapest on the market...just the best. These cases will do what they say they will do and there is an iron-clad guarantee.

It's Pelican, what else do you have to say. Bought this for taking iPod camping. Got rained on a number of times now. Not a drop got in. Also helped with a few unexpected drops. Definitely recomend.

Pelican for years has been making cases and other items for divers over the years. They make some of the world's strongest cases and this case is one of their best. This case holds the iPod classics, nanos, and shuffles(including the 2 Gen), nice and snug. The case also has a pocket in the lid for holding headphones. The case has a good tight seal to keep out liquids. The case says it is water resistant only, but I decided to place the case in a sink full of water(with out the ipod), and not a drop was found inside inside.

I love this case! It's bulky, but perfect for being outdoors. I plan to use it at the lake all summer and for 2 trips that are planned to Hawaii...I know it will work perfectly for what I need!

I bought this case because my 9 year old occasionally uses my ipod classic 80G when he is outside doing yard work. The strong case does its job. It has nice features like a metal belt hook as well as carry straps.
