Why Does It Cost So Much?,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Pelonis PF1212-K3 FlexiFurnace Heater/Fan (Kitchen)
I bought this heater for two basic reasons: (1) There are no heaters left at my local stores and most... were back ordered, and (2) I visited the Pelonis web site which made a good case for it. I must say it does heat. I use it for my bedroom (11' by 16') at night. I lower my central heater thermostat to 60 and set the Pelonis to about 72. The heater will begin to work, and in a relatively short time, the room does reach 70+. At that time, the fan will spin more and more slowly, until it is almost stopped. However, it will continue to give off some heat. There are several things that really did disappoint me. First, the Pelonis site says it comes with an attachment that makes it a fan in the summer. NOT! Second, when the fan slows down, it slightly rattles, making it a little noisier than average. Third, if you have a light on, you might see a faint shadow of vapors coming from the fan; however, I don't know what these vapors are. Fourth, I posed my concerns to the Pelonis site, and never received a response. And finally, the price. Before the Pelonis, I used a Holmes Twin Ceramic, which cost me $40 bucks. Granted, it didn't have an accurate thermostat, but still, it WAS cheaper and kept me just as warm.
