4.0 out of 5 stars Simple and effective
Simple, yet effective. And very inexpensive. These hearing protectors work well at the pistol range. They're sturdy and light, and do exactly what they're supposed to.

2.0 out of 5 stars Brittle head band holds back otherwise effective product
They fit well, they're adjustable, and they do an excellent job of suppressing sound. But the reason I'm giving them 2 stars is the headband is very brittle. The plastic used is very hard and not flexible. You can hear these things starting to crack the moment you take them out of the package and open them up to place them on your ears. I'm on my 3rd (and final) pair...

I'm on my 3rd (and final) pair in a little over 18 months. You go to either put them on or take them off, and SNAP - the headband breaks and they're done. No more - I'm looking for something that has a metal headband and will last longer.

2.0 out of 5 stars Easy to break, November 8, 2009
This review is from: Peltor 97025 Folding Earmuff (Tools & Home Improvement)
I have a pair of these, labeled as AO Safety like this picture, that were very comfortable. However they broke after about a year and a half of use mowing the lawn. As I was putting them on they broke on the top band. I suggest you look at a pair that has a metal band over the head instead of these plastic ones.

I bought this for my 5 year old son for his drum practice. This is just a perfect earmuff for him and myself. It's very light but strudy and does perfect job blocking the noise. Best for it's prices. I recommend for anyoone who is looking for inexpensive ear protector.

1.0 out of 5 stars BAD PRODUCT, September 4, 2011
This review is from: Peltor 97025 Folding Earmuff (Tools & Home Improvement)
I don't know why anyone would be satisfied with a product that breaks after just a few uses. Don't buy this product, it won't last! Mine broke after a couple of months. The muffs I had before these lasted 20 years.

These were actually bought for an Autistic child who has sensory issues. They are GREAT! I can fold them and stick them in my bag, they are sturdy and easy to unfold and suit his occasional sensory needs very well. I am very satisfied with these and will be purchasing a second pair one for home and one for on the go.
