Expensive but worth it
While the price seems high you get what you pay for with the Peltor Swat Tacs. While there are plenty of companies making amplified hearing protection lately, few can hold their own with Peltor. What you pay for is the ruggedness and reliability as well as a good deal of comfort. These can be worn under your kevlar in relative comfort and work on an easy to find AA...

Not genuine Peltor, item does not look like photo as advertised!
Item is a knock off, not Peltor; fit is poor and does not cusp over ear completely, even with adjustment, item does NOT look like the photo as there is no "Peltor" logo imprinted, just some cheap sticker that says "Peltor" but I can make that and slap it on...come on! I am returning this for a ful refund and going back to using my non electronic Glock...

While the price seems high you get what you pay for with the Peltor Swat Tacs. While there are plenty of companies making amplified hearing protection lately, few can hold their own with Peltor. What you pay for is the ruggedness and reliability as well as a good deal of comfort. These can be worn under your kevlar in relative comfort and work on an easy to find AA battery. There are several versions currently in use with US military forces as well as a number of foreign militarys. While not waterproof they are resistant to some degree and the comfort really pays off when wearing them for days at a time. The only downside I have found is there is a mild 'clipping' during speech at times. When shooting they will sometimes cut out all sound so you miss what your team mates might be saying. This is very annoying to some people and other don't notice it in the least. I have worn the military model of the Swat Tac and was very satisfied as well as the Sordins which are also very high quality hearing protection.
