If I could, I'd give it more stars!,

This review is from: Pendulum Healing Handbook (Paperback)
It's that good! I've read other pendulum books before, but this one takes the cake. It tells you how to work the pendulum, and things things you should do if the pendulum is not swinging. There are many pendulum healing techniques you can use, even with crystals. There are many, many pendulum charts that he provides you with for asking questions, even crystal charts containing over 100 different crystals. There is a lot this book has to offer. You'll definately get your moneys worth. Buy this Book! I highly recommend it!

Let's face it--using a pendulum is a bit of a walk on the woo-woo side. This book, however, makes it practical. If you want to see the potential for using your pendulum with a short period of study, this is a great book.
I almost given up using my pendulum when I picked up this book, and it turned everything around. Pendulum use isn't complicated, but is does require a bit of background knowledge, which this book provided in an easy, concise manner. Lubeck offers great tips and information, and the charts are really helpful and thorough (despite what another reviewer said). Knowing what the pendulum swings mean is very important, and Lubeck (again) offers a simple approach to determine that. I haven't read any other pendulum books, but as a very busy person, I know that this book started me on my way quickly.

This review is from: Pendulum Healing Handbook (Paperback)
The Pendulum Healing Handbook is a very short but very in-depth book on using a pendulum. Although the book is over 200 pages long, the actual pendulum explanation section is only 77 pages. However, that is actually not a shortcoming because it is very well explained and presents concepts that I haven't thought of before, such as using the pendulum to locate disruptive rays (such as microwaves)that can be affecting your health as well as breaking down the oscillations of the pendulum into a series of many possibly swings that can work for the individual. But my favorite part was when Mr. Lubeck shows you how to create a pendulum chart table; a rectangular chart that allows you to have a total of 64 possible answers to your questions. I have never seen a pendulum chart like this nor thought to create one. I think it is a fantastic idea!
The rest of the book has over 100 various pendulum charts that cover a wide spectrum of healing remedies such as gemstones, aromatherapy, color therapy, Back remedies, homeopathy and flower essences from around the world that I have never studied. The are also many charts for personal growth, relationships, professions, money and blank charts that the user can fill out for their own need. But having over 100 charts isn't even the best thing about these charts. They are of a basic collective design, but it is the design that will captivate you. Although they are in black&white, the way the hues of the grayscale sketches fade makes it appear as if they light up...they are almost hypnotic in the way they draw you in. If he ever releases these in color, I will HAVE to own a set...He might have already done so. I will have to run and check now, once I finish this review:) If you are a beginner, it might be best to buy another pendulum book along with this one to give you a better grasp on the basics. This book was obviously written by a very adept pendulum user and should be a part every users library, especially if you are into working with a variety of natural healing possiblities. The book is worht more than the price just for the amazing charts.

Expected More "Book",

I wasn't really impressed with this book at all. It didn't really read smoothly or keep me hooked like other books i've read, example; Pendulum Power. I was also VERY bummed to see that more than HALF of the book is not book at all! Its drawings of charts! The "so called" book is 206 pages long but the book ACTUALLY ENDS on page 79!! I would not personally recommend this to any of my friends.
SUMMARY: If you are looking for a nice pendulum book full of interesting facts to further your learning process, don't buy this book. NOW, if you want to buy a "folder" full of pendulum tables definately buy this book!!!

Decent book but hard to use,

This book should have been spiral bound. It really pisses me off the author didn't consider that the pages need to lay flat for dowsing. The kindle edition is useless because there are no hotlinks to switch pages and its paginated wrong so the title shows up for the next or previous page, and is even worse on the Kindle DX.

Had almost no useful information in it. Didn't give any details on how to use the pendulum. From page 82 to 202 there were only charts. Alot of these charts are totally useless to me and I know many others. Out of a 205 page book there are only 70 pages of any information to read about and then it is only charts. I read the reading material in about 2 hours and found nothing useful and highlighted nothing in the book. If you want a great pendulum book buy "Pendulums and the Light" by Diane Stein. You get a whole book of awesome and useful information. For me it would have been more practical to highlight the parts that I didn't need so much since most of the book is now highlighted that is how much information was so wonderful and useful and helpful. Sorry to say that Walter Lubeck's book is a sad comparison to Diane Stein's. Pick Stein's, you will learn a ton of stuff and with Walter's you will want to donate it like I am since it serves no useful purpose for me.

After dowsing for almost a decade, I can tell you that this book was the first formalized instruction that I ever received, being the first pendulum book I read. The charts are fabulous and this book offers a good introduction to chart dowsing as well as many other aspects of dowsing. The author offers a unique way to guide us through the process of focusing on our own personal healing.

It's OK. I still prefer Dale Olson's The Pendulum Charts to anything else
I've ever read or seen. Some of the charts in this book are different and interesting. |
