5.0 out of 5 stars What an Excellent Book Indeed!
I have to admit that I really enjoy reading Richard Webster's books and I will try to give a fair review on each of his books on this site. There's something about his writing style that just magnetically draws me to every one of his books. Also, every single book of his has a lot of fun exercises that allows the reader to practice the subject matter he is talking about...

1.0 out of 5 stars Stolen Material!?
I have read this book as well as The Pendulum Kit by Sig Lonegren. I have to say material from Webster's book looks awfully familiar to that of Lonegren's. The difference is that Longren's book was published in 1990 according to the info inside the cover and Webster's book was in 2002. There are many examples and stories they share that run along the same lines. I urge...

Pendulum Magic for Beginners is really my favorite book of all time and will be forever. This book thoroughly describes things about the pendulum, like what it is, how to use it and practical uses to apply in your everyday life to make it simpler.

You will learn how to find lost objects, get in tune with your subconscious and intuitive mind, make good judgements and choices, and so much more, all with a simple pendulum. Once I began practicing, I was able to find something of mine that I lost and been looking for 8 years!!

I highly recommend this book without any reservation whatsoever to everyone interested, both the beginner and professional, and once you begin applying the principles contained within, as I did, you will experience a dramatic change in your life all for the best! You will not regret it!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Two Words "THE BEST", November 5, 2004
This review is from: Pendulum Magic for Beginners: Tap Into Your Inner Wisdom (For Beginners (Llewellyn's)) (Paperback)
All I can really say about this book is BUY IT! I have read about 10 books on pendulums, and without a doubt this book outshines them all.

I can't really put my finger on it, but you wont be able to put this book down! It reads so good and has a very good feeling to it. EVERYTHING in this book is interesting for beginners and advanced energy workers. I absolutely love it, and would recommend it to any of my friends. I give Richard Webster an A+ for writing this book, MANY thanks :-)

Namaste,

DREW...

5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT starter book ! ! !, June 13, 2003

This review is from: Pendulum Magic for Beginners: Tap Into Your Inner Wisdom (For Beginners (Llewellyn's)) (Paperback)
I have, so far in my lifetime, only read 3 books all the way through more than once. One was the Bible, one was 'Men are from Mars; Women are from Venus' by DR. John Grey. And the other was this book. At the time of my first reading, I had an eye infection and was advised by several people not read... but I just could not put this book down. It has 'infected' me with a great urge to learn more about pendulums, which I am in the process of. I was lucky enough to be able to get the pendulum to work the first time I tried, but others may not be as blessed. The book describes many uses for a pendulum, as well as several examples to practice your pendulum skills with. There is not a lot of glitz in this book, which may turn some off, but I found it a very informative and interesting read.

As for me, I regret buying Webster's book and will never purchase any of his material again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful, Especially for Beginners, April 2, 2008
This review is from: Pendulum Magic for Beginners: Tap Into Your Inner Wisdom (For Beginners (Llewellyn's)) (Paperback)
This book covers pretty much everything to help you use the pendulum and receive accurate answers. It also stays secular which is a good thing.

Most of Webster's books are well done. I recommend this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Comprehensive Set of Exercises & Techniques For Developing Skills With The Pendulum, September 7, 2011

This review is from: Pendulum Magic for Beginners: Tap Into Your Inner Wisdom (For Beginners (Llewellyn's)) (Paperback)
A pendulum is one of the staples in the arsenal of spiritual and magical tools. Whether made of fine crystal, precious metal, or a simple button attached to the end of a string, the pendulum is a tool for connecting with the subconscious mind, the collective unconscious, and the divine. All of life's questions related to health, wellness, finances, prosperity, creativity, and spirituality can be answered using the pendulum. In Pendulum Magic For Beginners, Richard Webster provides an introductory course on use of the pendulum to live a more rewarding and fulfilling life.

From choosing or making a pendulum to how to hold the pendulum and the best way to ask questions, the opening chapters of the book provide a thorough introduction to the use of the pendulum to answer basic questions. The pendulum responds best to a series of simple questions rather than one long, more complex question, and Webster explains how to identify your pendulum's individual "yes" or "no" responses. Per Webster, using the pendulum allows us to access our subconscious minds that can, in turn, access the universal mind and obtain the answers we seek. The pendulum amplifies a subtle, physical response from the subconscious mind, allowing for more clarity in the answer.

Webster offers an interesting chapter of methods one can use to test and perfect ability with the pendulum. From distinguishing vodka from gin to determining the day of the week of your birthday five years ago, these exercises, done alone or with a partner, offer the opportunity to practice and hone your skills with the pendulum. Once proficient, you can begin using the pendulum to help you choose the right foods to eat, what might be wrong with your car, or even to tell time. Pendulums have been used to find missing objects, missing people, and even to find natural sources of water using a map.

When it comes to physical and mental health, the pendulum can be used to help identify the causes for various ailments and their subsequent cures as well as in choosing medical professions to visit. The pendulum can also be used to locate blockages or damage to the aura, the subtle energy body that surrounds the physical body, and the chakras, the seven energy centers within the aura. Whether healing oneself or using the pendulum to provide local or distant healing to other human beings or even animals, the responses and information given can add another dimension to health and well-being in addition to traditional medicine.

As a tool for psychic development, the pendulum is one of the best. Webster offers several techniques both with and without the pendulum for protecting oneself when doing psychic work. This is primarily to avoid psychic attack from others or entities. From divining the future to providing readings for others and even enhancing dream recall, Webster provides exercises and techniques for using the pendulum to enhance your natural sixth sense and spiritual connection.

In the last chapters of the book, Webster makes connections between the pendulum and color magic as well as numerology. He also offers techniques for clearing and protecting the home and garden. He touches briefly on the use of flower remedies, communicating with ghosts, and goes into great detail on a Hawaiian Kahuna magic technique for manifesting desires and achieving goals, very similar to many modern teachings on the Law of Attraction.

The major criticism of Pendulum Magic For Beginners is that Webster strongly encourages the use of the pendulum constantly, for every aspect of life from the mundane to the miraculous. One might think, after reading this book, that he or she should never be without a pendulum to consult. Like all good things, the pendulum should be consulted when needed, but used too often, it can detract from and weaken the other natural intuitive tools, such as emotions and feelings, that everyone has at their disposal in the decision-making process.

Pendulum Magic For Beginners by Richard Webster is one of the most thorough and comprehensive books on the use of the pendulum on the market today. Anyone interested in accessing the subconscious mind or further developing their psychic skills would benefit greatly from this book and its many excellent techniques.
