A collection of clever limericks,

What is nice about this book is that it is not embarassed to include bawdy limericks among the others but never for bawdiness's sake alone. Bawdiness is NOT a prerequisite of a good limerick. Cleverness IS - and this book has collected a large number of entertaining and clever 5-liners, all with glorious punch lines. I was also pleased to be introduced by the book to a number of variations of the limerick form, such as the double limerick and the limeraiku, a combination of the limerick and the haiku forms.Great stuff - highly recommended! |
