3.0 out of 5 stars Better than a picture e-book May 7, 2012

EBooks usually have a scanned quality to them and don't take up the whole screen of my kindle but these stories take up the whole page and zoom in and out to focus on what is going on in the story. The sound effects also add a nice touch to the story.

My 4 and 6 year old will both listen to this story, but they prefer listen to the more traditional stories from this developer - like the Lorax or the Sneetches. I think that they find this one to be just a little unexciting.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well narrated and good artwork January 1, 2013

Artwork is great, and story is compelling. I specifically liked the way the story was narrated. I wouldn't call it "fully" interactive. Would be nice to have subtopics of some sort that can be touched and more info displayed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Smithsonian Series December 9, 2012

Excellent - perfect pace and animation. This story is great for primary kids through 7 or 8 depending on interest in Penguins. Love the gradual page turn and gentle narration, very calm, steady yet good voice inflection to keep the story interesting and focused.
