4.0 out of 5 stars Good Bounce, Nice Felt and Decent Longevity
These Penn Championship Balls are very good for the typical recreational player. They hold a great bounce throughout 2 hour rally. 2.0 out of 5 stars fluff up no good
This year I am having major problems with these balls. After about an hour they fluff up badly. I have had to go with the red Penns, regular duty. My contention is there must be a bad batch because I have never seen this before with these balls...

These Penn Championship Balls are very good for the typical recreational player. They hold a great bounce throughout 2 hour rally. The felt remains intact, but like any pressurized ball that has been in play it will lose its bounce after extended hits after the 2 hour of continuous pounding. For the recreational player, you probably will not notice a great diminish in bounce or play. The balls will be good to use for the next 3-4 days bouncing less and less progressively.

However, for the experienced player who plays regular competitive matches, you probably would like to change these balls out after every two sets due to the stronger force and spin place on it in that setting. You would probably be better of suited using the more expensive Wilson Titanium, Dunlop Championship, Wilson US Open, or Dunlop Gran Prix for a longer lasting ball that will retain a strong bounce.

Overall, depending on what type of player you are, you'll be perfectly fine using these balls for practice or recreational play. I would recommend these balls. You can find these cheaper per case at Costco at $30 per case.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what you'd expect, September 27, 2010

Nothing complicated here, just plenty of cans of high quality balls at a very reasonable price. If you play a decent amount of tennis, you'll likely go though plenty of cans as they deflate after use. Why not buy a season's worth in one go? As far as I can tell (ranked 274,312 in the world) these are very good balls.

I can certainly understand being unhappy about not being shipped the advertised quantity. My order came exactly as promised, so maybe the other reviewer was just unlucky.

Purchases a case of Penn Championship tennis balls. Most of the cans were OK, but one was dead. The balls when I dropped from shoulder length came up to my knees.

2.0 out of 5 stars Less Balls than I ordered, August 11, 2010

While the order was for 16 can, 48 balls. The box came with a package inside that was clearly marked as having 9 cans, 27 balls. Amazon.com was super, took them back and paid the return shipping. I did not order them again since I may get the same number of balls again.

Penn Tennis balls are of great quality. Not much can be wrong with them. Too bad the products arrived late. I purchased them in plenty of time for my deadline. Unfortunately, they arrived about 3 days later than promised. As a result, I was not able to use them for my project.

I run a small resort with a basic court. raquets and balls are provided. This grouping of balls is a good value.
